“Only 20 mile to Cooperstown.”

The hotel is an older building right on the main drag but traffic wasn't too bad. The only real issue was it's across the street from a rather busy railway. I found the room quite comfortable and the owners were very nice and helpful. There are stores and a quaint little Irish pub, as well as several types of restaurants within 1-2 miles.

“Take this hotel & shove it!”

Overall cleanliness of the hotel is below average. There were blown light bulbs in our room. Half of the electrical wall outlets did not work. Complimentary breakfast consisted of pre-packaged stale donuts & cereal with watered down milk (The milk pitcher had ice cubes inside instead of sitting picher in a ice bowl. No entertainment or restaurants in nearby very primitive town. Took 16 year boy with me to visit Cooperstown's Baseball Hall of Fame. Dor--- pay the extra money for a hotel closer.

“I wish there was another hotel there....”

I am guessing the room had not been used in some time. When we entered, there was an air purifier running and the air conditioner was on at full blast. The small referigerator was unplugged, the TV remote did not work, the clock radio was not functional and the water to the toilet was shut off. When we turned on the tap, the water came out brown or some time and left lots of grit (black and grey) in the sink. The tub was the same way. We had to run the water for several minutes to clear the pipes. The room smelled like a moldy basement. We slept on the beds rather than in them for our own safety. In the end, we left early to get away from the potential hazards of the room. Palatine Bridge is a lovely town, I just wish they had a better place to stay.

“Stay Away unless you have no choice”

We booked this hotel for a night's stay on a short trip to a nearby place. The room that we were given wasn't cleaned. That freaked everyone out. Even though we got another (cleaned) room, it was old and smelly. And we were extremely uncomfortable in it. We were afraid to let the kids touch anything in there. On hindsight, we should have just paid for more.
