“Great hotel, will certainly go back”

This is a very pleasant, good value, friendly hotel in an excellent location. The room and ensuite were smart and well-designed, and the handsome bedroom window let in the sunshine and gave an interesting garden and courtyard view. There's a desk for working in your room with convenient plug sockets. The only slight downside was that the milk for cereal in the morning was on the turn both times but I'm sure I was just unlucky. The staff make you feel truly welcome and it is handy having a computer with internet for guests' use downstairs. Very highly recommended and I would certainly book here again.

“Nice hotel near Glasgow University & tube station”

Quiet hotel 1/2 mile away from Glasgow University, and a block from the tube station to downtown. On a dead-end street, next to park, so quiet. Nice size room, very friendly staff. A traditional hotel, you walk up the curved staircase to your room. Would stay there again if visiting Glasgow.

Stayed here for 5 nights in September 2011. Smallish but comfortable single room with a fridge which is a nice feature. Jackie on the staff was particularly helpful. A cheerful presence at the reception desk. Excellent location -- a stone's throw from the Kelvinbridge subway, handy to get around from, and near lots of restaurants and shops.

“The Albion is a gem!”

My room was comfortable and functional, the staff was exceptionally attentive, and the location is excellent: on a quiet Glasgow West End street, walking distance to the University of Glasgow and Kelvingrove Museum; close to the Great Northern Road and public transportation (Underground: Kelvingrove stop). This hotel is a gem!

“Will visit again”

This was our second stay at the Albion. Both visits were wonderful. The man at the reception desk was very friendly and informative. The hotel is very well maintained. The rooms are perfectly clean and comfortable. I recommend having breakfast at the hotel. The selection and quality of the food was great - they offer cold buffet items as well as a menu with hot items included in the breakfast price. The location was perfect for us as we were visiting the University of Glasgow. The hotel is right on the edge of campus. We felt safe and secure walking in the area at night. It was a great experience.

“Grest deal, great location, friendly staff”

This hotel met or exceeded all of our expectations. It was reasonably priced and having a breakfast every day was a great bonus. The main thing for us was its proximity to the subway. It is a 3 minute walk from the KelvinBridge subway station and then 10 minutes to the downtown and the two main train stations. My wife and I stayed for 2 weeks and used Glasgow as a hub to make day trips to Edinburgh, Stirling, etc. Having the Albion hotel so close to the subway meant little time was wasted navigating around Glasgow to get to a train. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Whenever we needed directions or had any other questions, they were more than willing to help. The location is quiet and safe. We did a lot of research before we booked, looking for the best value for our money and this little gem is indeed one of the better places in that respect. Should we return to Glasgow, we will stay at this hotel again.

“Convenient Glasgow Hotel - Great Value!”

Can't fault the hotel and the location was great. The Kelvinbridge Underground is just across the Great Western Road and there is a very friendly pub within a stone's throw, called "The Pewter Pot" Having said all of this, the residents of the hotel seem almost neurotically-obsessed with peace and quiet, but hey, what can you do? We were doing our best not to make any noise at all after coming back after a night clubbing, but a disembodied voice from behind a door uttered a very loud and disapproving, "BE QUIET!!!!!" Hey sorry....were you waitng up all night, eager for our return? Because well, we just weren't being that loud....and if your strange and eerie reprimand sent us into fits of uncontrollable giggling until we finally drifted, exhausted, off to sleep, well, you can hardly blame us, can you? All in all, really staisfied with the hotel :)
