I can't fault the Argyle Hotel - the staff were lovely, quick check in and out and the room was fantastic. Recommended!

“a cosy shabby Scottish experience - easy access from airport”

The room was very small and the carpets old. The floor beneath made noise on every step and it wasn´t even. But the ladies kept the room very tidy, and the bathroom was clean and comfortable. It was wonderful to have a cup of tea or coffee anytime you wanted. The atmosphere made me happy. "Murder mystery nights" in the restaurant and traditional music showed that Scottish people are joyful. Nobody made a noise in the night. It was easy to sleep there seven nights. And especially the bus 747 to airport was excellent with heavy luggage! The bus stop is 30 metres from the hotel door. If you arrive from airport, you should get off the bus on the first bus stop after Kelvingrove art gallery.

“Nothing fancy, but excellent customer service”

Found this hotel at the last minute on expedia - good reviews and a good price. Our room was perfectly adequate, although nothing to write home about. Customer service was excellent. Guys at the desk were very helpful and accomodating. We'd definitely stay there again!

“Great Stay - Highly Recommended!”

Location is close to activity in the West End, but far enough that the hotel stay is very quiet. 10 minutes from the subway station, and the City Link 747 bus drops off right in front of the hotel from the airport. Rooms were adorable and clean. Customer service was beyond exceptional and made the whole stay great. Price was amazing. I highly recommend the hotel and will stay there again!

“Fantastic!”

The Argyll Hotel was in a great location and the end of Sauchiehall street. It was a 10 minute walk to the subways and there was a bus stop right outside. My only negative is that check in isn't until 2:30 pm, but we were able to safely leave our bags in the staff room for a few hours.

The hotel was clean and the service was good, but the room was very small compared to what I expected. It was, however, affordable, and cozy.

“Pleasant, friendly small hotel near Kelvingrove Art Gallery”

This hotel is well situated for anyone who wants to visit the lovely Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and Kelvingrove Park. It's some distance (a bus ride) from central Glasgow, so perhaps not as convenient for some. It's a 15-20 minute walk from the SECC (Scottish Exposition Center), slightly roundabout and not scenic, but quite do-able for those who don't mind a walk. The young staff, probably exchange students from Eastern Europe, were extremely nice and cooperative. The breakfast is decent, and again, the servers were extremely pleasant. The wired internet connection was excellent.

My room had a skylight--quite charming--and the restaurant was a true winner.
