Warm & welcoming hotelPosted Nov 16, 2013
Pros: Warm & welcoming. Friendly staff, cleanliness & good food
Booked this room for my parents golden wedding anniversary which was being held in the hotel. Receptionist was extremely helpful, letting me add breakfast on and once I had explained what the room was for she upgraded my parents room. The room was lovely and big, spotless. The staff that were serving at my folks golden wedding held in the function suite could not have been more helpful. Food was good. Hotel is very warm & welcoming. Nothing seemed too much trouble.

gateway to central Scotland...Posted Oct 25, 2012
Pros: Very comfortable.
Cons: This is a wedding venue.
Location: Quiet area. Easy access to train and motorways.
Needed a hotel for a long weekend in or around Glasgow. Having a basic knowledge of this hotel I decided to book. Travelling alone but hate single rooms..got a great deal on a double room here for 3 nights. Slightly disappointed at the room size.. only slightly larger than a single room, with a double bed. Not any real hardship but I think two would feel a wee bit cramped in the room I had. Very clean and well appointed room. Nice bathroom but slightly let down for me by the fairly weak shower.. the 'quiet' lounge area at the bar was not so on both Friday and S aturday evenings.. noisy weddings both days.. but not affecting the peace and quiet of the ground floor bedroom I had. Used the very nice restaurabt on one evening.. no complaints whatsoever. Staff extremely good. Food very good. Prices very reasonable. Distance from the city centre is absolutely no problem with close access to the motorway. Used the local train service into Glasgow Queen St. Short trip and only £3.30 return. Stepps rail station only a ten minute walk away from the hotel. I will use this hotel again.
