“Perfect, flawless”

Flawless, cannot fault, without fail best hotel in Glasgow. Beautiful property, outstanding service. Have stayed four times now and will not consider staying anywhere else.

“A very beautiful hotel and excellent staff.”

There was a terrible rumbling noise throughout the day, which I thought was workmen working in the city centre. But unfortunately the noise continued all night. I phoned reception to ask for ear plugs which they kindly brought and did offer to move me, but at 1am, didn't fancy packing up all my stuff. Overall great hotel and staff very very good.

“Quality hotel with excellent restaurant”

WE took a late booking and stayed one night while visiting Glasgow. Well located excellent facilities and comfortable room. We had a superb evening meal from the Garden Menu, very good value for money.

“Nice comfortable hotel”

Very friendly staff. Resturant food also very good, the breakfast choice was quite extensive. We would definitely stay there again. The rooms were extremely comfortable, just one problem - not enough Tunnocks Tea Cakes.

“A high quality hotel”

This was a really high quality hotel. The staff were all excellent, very friendly and helpful. The Classic Room had plenty of space and a lovely bathroom - although the open hatch over the bath was a little disconcerting! It also had a very comfortable bed. There is a lovely restaurant area and bar, and a huge bar upstairs. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide choice and attentive service. The pool area is rather cramped, but there is a good range of jacuzzis, saunas and steam rooms. (We did not try the treatments - these are expensive, but did have 50% off while we were there.) Overall a great location for a weekend break - the galleries and architecture are brilliant - or a business stay.

“Can't wait to go back!!”

From the moment I walked up the front steps of this hotel I was impressed! The decor of the reception was amazing, it was just gorgeous, check in was smooth,easy and very quick. We were early so the lovely lady on reception took my mobile number so they could phone us if our room was ready before 3pm. Our luggage was in our room on our return from shopping. The room was fantastic, clean and ver comfortable just lovely. We had drinks in the hotel bar and it was brilliant, a great atmosphere and all the staff were so helpful. The breakfast was superb, the coffee was delicious as was the haggis (the best I've had). From start to finish this hotel was the best I've ever stayed in and I can't wait to go back, the staff were so welcoming and friendly and made you feel like nothing was to much trouble without being overbearing. Loved this place, oh and we had a view over the private garden to the front of the building can't say how much I love this hottel!!!!! Hope to be back really soon!!!

“Disaster!”

This is not 5 Star service! I would most definitely not recommend this hotel I have never felt so disappointed by the lack of attention to detail and service! Our room was not available on arrival at 3.30 we had to wait until 4pm no apology given or any direction to what or where we should go to relax. I had to ask where the bar was..really? We had booked prior to arriving afternoon tea with champagne I asked if we could be taken earlier since we were waiting on our room we were left in a lounge with no offer of any refreshments while we waited.Service was extremely slow and inefficient tables not cleared quickly & people arriving waiting & then leaving! Obviously as unimpressed as we were. Unfortunately just as we were seated for afternoon tea I was accidentally showered with a glass of champagne by the poor waitress as the table was so low. She was extremely apologetic no offer was made to clean my trousers which my husband had to ask as i sat and dried out. Not ideal seating for an afternoon tea extremely uncomfortable. We requested a quiet room as we are extremely light sleepers we were given a corner room on the ground floor probably on one of the busiest roads in Glasgow. Single paned glass, the traffic noise was horrendous, the room was unclean esp the toilet & mirrors, it was absolutely freezing even though i cranked the heating up to 32 degrees (no effect). No bottled water. We had to wait until 12 noon 1 hour after check out for the return of my trousers unpressed!
