Pros: The room was superb along with the facilities.
Location: We golfed at The Carrick and went to the Spa which is 5 minutes away on the shuttle bus
We stayed for 2 days , golfed and spent a day in the spa . Both restaurants were lovely and the staff all very helpful. the hotel is 5 star throughout.

Short stayPosted Jun 13, 2015
Pros: Lovely clean rooms, food excellent, great bar area, valet parking men such an asset as first point of contact, lovely grounds, beautiful scenery.
Cons: No where to sit outside in the sun. The rattan furniture outside the leisure area is dirty and covered in leaves.
The valet parking men at the hotel were excellent, a real asset. The bar where we had pre dinner drinks had excellent staff. The girls who were the breakfast waitresses were pleasant, but in need of better training. No biting of nails while wandering aimlessly about, no passing of tables empty handed while there are dirty plates waiting to be cleared. We had breakfast just after nine and were one of three or four tables of guests, so the restaurant was practically empty. There were around five waitresses going about setting up tables. I had to ask if I could order something off the menu for breakfast, then I had to ask for a fresh pot of hot water for my tea, then I had to ask for more toast, I had to ask if they would clear away our dirty plates, after the waitress had passed our table empty handed several times. We ran out of butter and I felt I could not ask again, so gave up. It's a beautiful hotel, with delicious food, lovely rooms, and very inefficient breakfast waitresses. Also, it would have been lovely to sit outside in the sun somewhere comfortable. There are many rattan chairs etc out side the leisure area beside the crazy golf which are in need of a good clean and not really used. It would be lovely to clean them up, add some seat cushions, position them in small groups around the hotel grounds so people can sit outside when the weather is hot and enjoy the views and sunshine.

Location: Lock cruise, sea plane, loch walks, great dining etc.
Even though the hotel was fully occupied on the two nights we stayed the service was still very good and the staff did a great job of making us feel special.

Return tripPosted May 25, 2015
This is our 2nd stay. We are overall happy with it, however in comparison to the 1st stay there some less than ecstatic happiness. We found the meals from room service to not be quite as what was anticipated as far as freshness of food. However, considering the extreme activity going on, (a large wedding party and a sports car road rally) I would imagine their resources were maxed out? i would rate this 9/10 vs 10/10 like our first visit was.

A fabulous hotelPosted May 13, 2015
We were taken care of from the moment we arrived at the hotel entrance with the excellent valet parking. Staff were very keen and knowledgable with regards to the local area and attractions. My only tiny gripe would be with the bar service. I ordered a beer and was informed it would be brought to my table.. Over ten mins later I was still left waiting whilst I observed the barman receive and serve further orders. This was the only part of my experience which did not live up to the 5 star experience I was expecting. I would be more than happy to stay at Cameron House in the future.

Great locationPosted May 6, 2015
Pros: Can't find a better location. Right by the lake with well kept ground. Hotel is tasteful decorated and service is just superb.
Cons: Room is on the dark side so addition light is recommended. Also a soup dish in the bathroom will be good.
Location: Can drive to Glencoe under two hours. Many nice walks around the hotel and lake. There is also the seaplane for the adventurous.
We are a party of 7 (including small baby) and stayed three nights.

Smooth check in. Luxurious rooms and decor throughout. Wonderful service, professional staff who added a personal touch and made us feel really special. Dining and bars in and around hotel were excellent. Very picturesque area - a really special few days. Use of the spa is recommended!
