“Good city centre location”

The CitezenM is in a good location for hitting the shops and other attractions in Glasgow town centre. It's a 5 minute walk from Glasgow Queen Street and about 15 minutes from Glasgow Central Station. The check-in process is automated, and was very smooth. Staff were on hand to help if there were any issues however. The room was quite small, but the bed was pretty big and very comfortable. Everything in the room is controlled by a remote control, from the window blinds to choosing a multi-coloured lighting scheme! The bathroom consisted of a smoked glass vestibule which contained the toilet and the shower. The sink and mirror was in the room rather than in the bathroom. The power shower was excellent, with a shower head mounted in the ceiling. A hand-held shower head is also available.

“What a unique hotel concept - loved it”

This is a the most unusual hotel concept that I've ever come across. Check in / out was unusual - a sort of self check in desk, although there was a hotel employee to help. Room was ultra modern, with everything (TV, blinds, shutters, lighting) controlled by a remote control. I've never seen "mood lighting" before, but it was great to be able to change the light colour using the remote control. You could even create your own personal disco if you wanted to. It is marketed as "budget luxury", although a better description would be "budget luxury with a wow factor". Would definitely stay there again. Hope they roll out the concept to more cities. It breathes fresh air into whole hotel industry.

“Funky luxury”

The hotel is VERY modern - check in is diy but with friendly assistance available without searching for it, decor is very eyecatching throughout and the room was small but perfectly formed with enough buttons on the all-purpose remote to keep my husband happy for ages. The shower which is a central frosted glass pod has mood lighting and the venetian and blackout blinds are both remote controlled. There is very reasonably priced parking just around the corner in the multi-storey and you're right in the middle of central Glasgow. Would definately use the hotel again.

“Fun, Design Focused Hotel in a great Location”

A new take on Hotels with computerised check in, small but incredibly comfortable bedrooms and lots of modern designer furniture. If you are looking for a large spacious bedroom, this is not the hotel for you. The bedrooms are small with the bed taking up at least a third of the room. For a city break/business it's ideal, as most people don't spend a lot of time in the room. The bed and pillows are the most comforable I have slept on, so you are guaranteed a blissful night's sleep. The reception area is amazing and if you do have time to spare, it's a great location to sit and read the papers or have a coffee while sitting upon Eames chairs or large comfy sofas. The location is perfect, a couple of minutes walk from the bus station and from the shopping precinct. Restaurants and bars are on your doorstep as well as theatres near by. There are only 2 flaws to the hotel - the computerised check in does not allow you to pay with cash and the light in the toilet cannot be switched on without the rest of the room. However these are minor flaws in comparison.

“Fantastic modern hotel”

A very good option in the centre of Glasgow. The rooms are not big but are well appointed. The lobby/bar area is well designed and the staff are excellent. The hotel is quiet too. Highly recommended. Will stay again.

“Quirky Hotel”

This hotel is one street to the north of Sauchiehall Street within reasonable walking distance of Queen Street and Central Stations and most of the centre of Glasgow. The hotel is a bit unusual in that check in is on computer screens (with help if required). The bar has a self service food counter - collect what you want and pay at the bar. The room has a large, comfortable bed, adjustable lighting, large screen TV over the bed and free videos. Internet access is also free. A good, comfortable place to stay for business or pleasure in Glasgow.

“wall-to-wall beds”

Very small rooms, well thought out, so very workable and in an ideal location. Walk from either train station and three blocks from the bus station. Room was fun and very comfortable. Even computer illiterates can work the remote, which dims lights, sets wake up calls, closes the blinds, as well as runs the TV. Ipod docking station is a nice plus. Computers and printers downstairs are easy to use and free. Note: the hotel doesn't take cash payments and they charge 2.5 Euro extra to pay on VISA. This is not included in Expedia's quoted price.
