Top class hotelPosted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: Very easy to get to. Beautiful location. Great facilities - bar, restaurants, pool, spa. Helpful, friendly staff
Cons: Soundproofing. Was woken both mornings by person upstairs and could quite clearly hear TV and conversations from next door.
Location: Beautiful location on the loch. Could do boat trips, shooting, exercise classes outdoors, walking, shopping and sea plane
The only reason this hotel doesn't get the full 5 stars is because the walls and ceiling aren't very soundproof and we could quite clearly hear above and next door. Otherwise great hotel! Beautiful surroundings. Although some of the decorations could be considered kitsch by some to us it just seemed warm and inviting. The rooms were extremely comfortable and the little touches were much appreciated. Staff were friendly and helpful and happy to ferry us around. Lots of facilities and great for a weekend stay.

Stunning views from the tower suitePosted Nov 24, 2013
Pros: We enjoyed the warm reception from the staff.
Cons: Some days/evenings all the reception rooms were full of people on courses and this applied to the drawing room, library and the old dining room.
Location: We bought a book of walks in the area and pursued a different one each day!We shopped at Jenners in the Lomond Shopping Centre
We returned to our former flat, now an exclusive suite (we had lived in the house 43 years ago) and thoroughly enjoyed the facilities for four nights. The weather was Scotland at its best : blue skies, snow on Ben Lomond and wonderful autumn colours! The staff were all anxious to please as they had not met a former inmate and they had many questions to ask.We tried 3 out of the 4 restaurants and obviously found Martin Wishart at Cameron House to be the best. The biggest change since we lived there was the warmth! In our day there was no central heating. Our room was supposed to be haunted but we never met her!

Stunning location, near perfect hotel.Posted Oct 21, 2013
We have stayed here several times. Recently with friends for their birthday treat. Impressive location, wonderful staff . Valet parking makes your experience beging straight away. Afternoon spent in the pool area, then light lunch in great scot bar overlooking the loch. Excellent buffet breakfast , although both mornings we were woken up before our alarm clocks by housing keeping staff having a loud personal conversation. It turns out our room 112 and 114 were across the hall from house keeping store room. This was the only negative during our stay. We will definetley be staying again. P.s also got a great gents hair cut at the hotels salon/spa

Pros: The sea plane.
Cons: Better sound insulation between rooms.
Location: Nice walks.
Valet parking pointless, an excuse for tips. Reasonable food. Nice honeymoon location.

Great hotel next to the loch with magical viewsPosted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: This is a very comfortable hotel.
Cons: Our room housekeeping could have been better, this was reported to reception and they seemed to take this on board.
Location: There are many things that can be booked through the hotel but not to be missed is the seaplane flight that takes off 200 metres from the front door.
Very welcoming, not too formal and helpful staff. A good variety of dining choices., would recommend the boathouse for good variety of affordable food. Bar prices rather expensive but maybe to be expected at a property of this class.

Excellent location and accomodations.Posted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: Location, comfort, facilities
Cons: Response to quest requests
This hotel and its facilities are superior to anything I have experienced in that area. The staff is friendly and the rooms are comfortable. However, for the price, it was somewhat unexpected that it took four calls and one direct appeal to the front office staff to have bar soap brought to the room on the 4th of my 7 day stay. All other facets of my stay was as would be expected from this level of accomodation.

Lovely hotel that was worth the visit!Posted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: Great food, great staff, lovely setting.
Cons: Was in a suite with not much of a View. That was the only criticism. (May be pretty in winter with snow).
Lovely two day weekend that was relaxing and enjoyable. Excellent breakfast and great options for dinner including Michelin star food on site. Very supportive and warm staff on every point of contact with them from the porters and front desk to the booking desk for resort services and the resturants. Had a golf lesson with excellent patient instruction (Andrew). Will recommend without reservation. Not cheap but still worth a repeat visit. Thank you.
