“Great Deal”
The Fraser Suites in Glasgow was excellently located, walking distance to both of the city's train stations and many sights. The room was very spacious with high ceilings. The kitchenette was more than adequate and the furnishings, while sparse and modern were comfortable and roomy. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and not only took good care my needs and questions while staying there, they answered all e-mails and queries that I had sent prior to my trip. I would most definitely stay at Fraser Suites again in Glasgow and most likely would try one of their other hotels in another country should I find one.
“Amazing hotel!”
We loved this place. The room was huge, the staff were great and extremely helpful and the location was in the perfect spot. I highly recommend staying here.
“A good value”
It is in the old part of Glasgow, but only 4 blocks from shopping on Argyle St. or 6 blocks to St George's Square, and about 6 blocks from the Central Train Station. We were pleased with the room and its amenities. The hotel has been newly remodled and rooms are generous in size. The cost of the room through Expedia was a good value. The staff was very helpful. If driving, there is a parking garage next door which is a bit pricey.
“Well worth considering”
We stayed in a deluxe studio apartment for 2 nights at the end of July and were really impressed with both the size of the apartment & the style of it. Nice furnishings, spotlessly clean, reasonable sized bathroom, and beautifully soft & fluffy towels & bathrobes! Great location just on the edge of the Merchant City with a huge choice of bars & restaurants within 2 minutes walk. The only down side is the lack of air-conditioning in the rooms (not normally a problem in a Scottish hotel but we somehow picked the 2 hottest nights of the year to be in Glasgow!). Having to keep the windows open at night meant hearing more street noise than you would normally have heard in the room. We would definitely go back, particularly if we get the great Expedia deal price again!
“Glasgow Fraser Hotel”
Nice hotel in an old building. It was close to all shopping and concert locations. The kitchenette was a nice touch for light meals. Clean and safe with a helpful staff. i would definetly recommend this well priced holtel.
“Excellent”
A great hotel in a great location. Our room faced onto the car park at the rear so there were no pub-noise issues. The room was enormous, interesting and well-appointed. The kitchenette was nifty - we made good use of it (and the staff were very helpful and not-at-all resentful when we accidentally set-off the (silent) fire alarm - oops). Very friendly staff - went out of their way to be helpful. Nice toiletries; decent shower - although the shower knob was missing a vital screw... The sound does carry from the room above: the occupant above us seemed to spend their time plodding in cirles around their room - weird. There is no room-cleaning on Sundays. To use the carpark next door, collect a ticket as normal and get a hotel ticket from the hotel reception when taking the car out - to put in the machine before your own ticket. A couple of our hotel tickets were duds so we had to go back to the reception to get new ones. The 'DVD' collection at the front desk small and random! Apparently guests often nick-off with them, which is a shame. Great value for money.
“Very spacious accommodation at a very competitive price for a city centre location”
These suites include a small kitchen with small cooker/microwave/fridge/toaster/kettle/sink and all crockery cutlery etc, spacious lounge area with sofa, chair and coffee table, desk/table, and spacious bedroom area with very large bed. The whole place is very clean and modern. If you can get it at a good price it is far better value than most of the other city centre hotels because it is so spacious. I only stayed one night but it would have been a great place to stay for a longer period of time.
“Nicest Hotel In Glasgow”
After speaking to several friends who travel to the U.K., I was informed the hotel rooms in Europe were extremely small, unlike those in the U.S. What a pleasant surprise I had when I walked into my room at Fraser Suites. They were very spacious and I had my own kitchen and could cook my own meals rather than spending money on eating out every night. They also offer complimentary coffee in the lobby everyday. I will definitely be staying at this hotel on my next trip to Glasgow! It is also conveniently located right next door to Maggie May's, my favorite pub in Glasgow!
“Excellent City hotel”
Ideal for overnight stay or more- excellent facilities, clean, tidy and in the heart of the city. Will definately use again.
