“Don't Book”

These apartments are not for the short-stay visitor to Glasgow. We booked for 3 nights and did not have hot water for 2. There is no phone in the apartment and that is a safety issue even more than a convenience issue. The heat is on a timer and that means it goes off...The space is nice and roomy but the Lofts are not really meant for tourists who are not staying for a while... The doormen are very nice but there is no one to help solve the various problems I have mentioned. No- choose another accommodation if you are staying for less than a week in Glasgow. The facilities are not maintained for short-term visitors.

Area recommendations
We will be staying in the West End next time. It is lovely, well served by transportation, and has many restaurants and shops and evening activities. Central Glasgow is fine but not nearly as attractive to the tourist as is the West End.

“Excellent Service”

We arrived before out check in time and the staff allowed us to check in anyways. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The rooms were very nice and clean. The location was perfect. It was within walking distance to many of the local attractions. The price was very reasonable for the accomodations. If I were to return I would definetly stay at the Glasgow Lofts again.

“Surprising spacious with panoramic views (from some rooms)”

Wow! That's what my wife & I said when we stepped into our room on the 2nd night (1st night we had a little mix up and got a smaller room). The rooms facing the city (and sometimes noisy street) are quite large - nearly 30 feet of floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking Glasgow. It almost made you want to stay in the room. It had a washer/dryer, dishwasher, a kitchen about the size of that in my 2000 sq ft home along with plenty of instant coffees/capuccinos and biscuits to get you going in the morning. The car elevator to park my rental car was quite the experience, but hey - parking was free! Had a minor challenge with the water pressure demand pump that I had to learn how to reset. All-in-all, I would absolutely do this again. It was only 2 blocks from the city central pedestrian mall area. A great location and a wonderful hotel even if a tad pricey by American standards.

Area recommendations
City Center - easy access to everything. If you are a 1st time visitor, take a bus tour from St. George's Square. It gives you "off and on" priveledges for two full days and stops at most of the major touristy places like the Glasgow Science Center, the Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery, the University of Glasgow and another dozen locations. Wish I had started there 1st! It comes complete with earphones to plug into the tourbus (double-decker, open top) audio. It's easier than driving on the "wrong side" of the road :-)

“Stay Here!!!!!!!”

If you have the money for this place, you must stay here. You get a lovely apartment in the heart of Glasgow - quiet, street, doorman, fully functional kitchen with all the extras....truly a gorgeous home for however many days you need to be in Glasgow.

“Would like to stay there again”

Very friendly staff, excellent apartment and good location. The only drawback was that the apartment only had a view of the back garden, but then we got an apartment with two bedrooms instead of only one. So, no complaints.

“Not a great stay”

The attendant at the check-in desk was very rude and overwhelming. We had a difficult time finding the actual building as well. The room was quite nice though. I wouldn't go back.
