“Beautifully renovated luxury hotel”

We stayed one night at the hotel and were very impressed. The staff were charming, the room was fabulous, linen and bed lovely - huge bathroom. Breakfast great and reasonable price. Only slight issue is with the availability of lifts - only one working and staff had to use as well so had to wait an age and gave up! .....fine for us as we loved walking up and down the gorgeous staircase but would habe been a headache if we had elderly or disabled people in our group. But overall I loved it and would recommend to friends.

“Great Location”

The hotel has an excellent location, the only down side is that it was pretty noisey at 5am with people outside. This was no doubt due to the fact that our room was above the main entrance to Central Station. I would definately stay again.!!

The recent refurbishment of the hotel will reap great rewards with future bookings. We found the staff to be most attentive and cordial. The concierge provided useful information regarding excursions. Rooms are tastefully appointed with all necessary conveniences. We will certainly recommend this property to friends.

“Classic Victorian Hotel”

I had a lovely time at the Grand Central, was up for a conference but spent a day as a tourist and the hotel staff were exceptionally helpful with various recommendations. Street noise was a little rowdy on the saturday night butdidn't disturb sleep overnight. A grand hotel, it could make more of its history but overall an excellent stay and will definitely be returning.

“Visit to yesteryear”

At the last minute, we decided to join my sister and her husband on their trip to Glasgow for a family visit. She had booked this hotel via Expedia and since I wanted to stay at the same place, we followed suit and booked the same hotel. I'm really glad we did. It's a beautiful establishment that has recently been refurbished. The hotel is centrally located to shopping, transportation, restaurants, etc. The staff was very friendly, with a special shout out to Gordon, their concierge who came to our rescue when we were lost in the city trying to locate the Oswald Parking structure. This hotel has a lot to offer and I thank them for being able to accommodate my gluten free diet without issue. I recommend the Champagne Bar for drinks, afternoon tea or a light lunch.

“Grand Glasgow!”

The Grand Central is in an excellent location and provides a great base for exploring the city. It has been recently renovated and our executive room was clean,large, modern and stylish. Complimentary champagne in the champagne bar was included in the package. We had asked for a quiet room which it was, however there was a lot of noise from revellers outside, however the hotel cannot be held responsible for this! For breakfast we were relocated to the 'Deli' rather than the restaurant. It was Ok but nothing special for £16.50, we were glad it was included in the room rate as we didn't feel it was worth paying so much for it. A fter checking out we took full advantage of the concierge service who looked after our bag until it was time to get our train home.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would like to stay there again.

“Still Good - 3rd Stay in 3 months”

Yet again a very pleasent stay at the Grand Central. Comfy, quiet room. Great location, especially when you walk in 3 minutes after stepping off the train. No problems, still need an excuse to try the food.

“Very Impressed”

I booked a weekend in Glasgow to celebrate my husband's 30th birthday. I wanted to book somewhere nice for the occasion and on arrival I was more than impressed with the Grand Central Hotel. It was extremely easy to find, located close to a number of bars, restaurants and shops and on check in I was pleased to find the room was even nicer than I hoped. The Grand Hotel also has a gorgeous champagne bar, which we found was the perfect way to toast my husband's birthday. The only fault I can mention is that noise from the corridors could be heard easily inside the room. However, all in all a fab weekend and we would not hesitate to stay in the Grand Central again.

“Happy customer”

Hotel very comfortable and staff very helpful. Only downside is that, as a city centre hotel, the noise from outside late night revellers was a bit of a nuisance. However, would certainly go back to hotel. Note: Parking at nearby car parks is quite expensive.

Excellent location, great style. Only minor gripe is the TV wasn't the easiest to use. Like I say, minor gripe.
