“Hilton standards met and exceeded!”

Very happy with our choice of hotel and great value for money on the deal we got! Location not bad: Approximately 15 minutes walk from the main shopping area of Glasgow, and 10-15 mins from a big bar/restaurant area. We were warned by the staff to be careful about walking back to the hotel after dark however, as it is in the business district and there are not many people around outside of business areas. Car park cost £10 per night. We were very impressed with most of the staff at this Hilton, extremely friendly, helpful, and efficient! The desk clerk at check-in gave us lots of great tips about where to go for dinner, and as it was christmas we got mulled wine and mince pies on arrival. The rooms were clean and comfortable with some great views over Glasgow city. The breakfast buffet was amazing. So many choices, we could not try them all! We enjoyed the porridge (with accompanied whisky on top) and were very impressed that vegetarian haggis and sausages were available on request from the kitchen staff. The chef on duty on christmas day was so friendly and cheerful (despite working on christmas morning) and was clearly proud of the breakfast on offer, making sure we knew we could come back for me vegetarian items if we wanted. We were just passing through Glasgow on the way to the Highlands this trip, but would definitely consider this Hilton if we were to return to Glasgow.

“Glasgow Hilton”

I chose this hotel because it was the closest to the city centre with a car park. The hotel is absolutely as good as I would expect from the name. Glasgow itself is a little hard to navigate, but with a map to get there not really a problem (modern people may well use satnav for the same purpose). Not a problem with the hotel, but a local friend told me that the area surrounding it is a bit on the dodgy side, and to be honest I would have felt like being a bit careful if I were walking around on my own of an evening, no worse than any other city though. In the hotel I got a room with two single beds, not my ideal arrangement, I like to sprawl, but not a problem. All in all I would recommend this place so long as you don't want to go for late evening strolls alone. If you love motorway intersections though it's perfect, there are lots of them and all very close by.

The hotel is centrally located. The rooms are spacious and well kitted out. Beds were remarkably good and one felt almost at home in with all the space. Hotel staff were helpful and very courteous. Leisure facilities were first rate.

“Hilton review”

I have been to Scotland several times and have stayed at both the Grosvenor and Glasgow Hilton. Both hotels are wonderful. Glasgow Hilton is in "city center" but it is a 10 minute walk to get to any shops/hotels/attractions. The walk is very easy. Central station is also about a 5 - 10 minute walk (excellent for day trips). If you are flying into Scotland and you can fly into Preswick (PIK) airport then you can take a train into central station for about 2.50GBP. From there you can walk (if you do not have a lot of luggage) or take a quick 4GBP cab to Hilton Glasgow city center. (9GBP to get to Grosvenor Hilton). The rooms at the Hilton Glasgow city center are nice and the staff is amazing. The health center at this hotel is excellent and the indoor pool and jacuzzi are perfectly heated. Grosvenor Hilton is on Byers road and although it does not have the luxurious heath club and is not as large as the Hilton city center, it is also a wonderful hotel. Grosvenor is about a 10 minute cab from city center; however it is located on Byers road which is full of shops, pubs, and restaurants. Both hotels offer internet at about 15GBP per day (LAN connection). Grosvenor is also across from the botanical gardens which is great for jogging.

“Executive Rooms - well worth it”

I stayed for a week at the Hilton Glasgow and loved every minute of it. The location was perfect, the hotel being within walking distance of the town centre. Staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were more than adequate. I definitely recommend staying in an Executive room, which gives you access to the Executive Lounge, where a wonderful breakfast is included, afternoon tea, drinks and nibbles at night and coffee and tea any time. It also includes your internet access. Well worth the extra $.

I thought the Hiton Gasgow was magnificent. I loved the executive lounge and al the benefits that you get from booking an executive room. I woud highy recommend this hotel to all, be it business or leisure!

Excellent Hotel. Very good and attentive staff.Well equiped fitness area.Very nice pool, set at the right temperature, however in the lower level with no natural light. Access to the hotel on foot, a bit tricky, best get a cab, especially at night.
