It was close to the city center which was great.Posted Jan 12, 2015
Arrived and checked in with no problem what so ever. After speaking to the receptionist and was telling her we were getting married we got a complimentary bottle of wine on the house which was brought to the room. Will defiantly be booking up again :)

A great base for shopping and shows at ChristmasPosted Dec 29, 2014
Pros: The breakfast buffet, great choice of well prepared food. Haggis for breakfast, yes! The friendly chef who chats to guests is a nice touch
Cons: Was never tempted by the restaurant for dinner, it seems a bit steep and there is so much choice nearby
Location: The pantomime at the Clyde Auditorium was truly spectacular. The Auditorium is not my favourite venue but the show was terrific.
Possibly my favourite hotel, it seems to get the balance right between a big efficient hotel but still providing a friendly face. We had four nights bed and breakfast and once again it didn't disappoint. The room was generous for a city hotel and the bed was comfortable. The pool and health club are well maintained and accessible. We had some problems with the heating, which were sorted out, but why not put instructions on how to work the heating in the room guide? Our stay was over too soon, were sorry to go home.

Lovely hotel however disappointing staff attitudePosted Dec 29, 2014
Pros: rooms were lovely and clean
Cons: customer service needs reinforcing
Location: Hydro concert venue
I booked this hotel as a gift for my elderly mother and her partner ( she is 81 and he is 86)who were attending a show at the Hydro in Glasgow, a Christmas gift - I mentioned their age on the booking and specifically requested if there was anything the hotel could do to assist them in view of their ages. They asked at reception if staff could book a taxi for them when they came out of the show to collect them at the Hydro and return them to the hotel. They were advised that they could pick up a taxi at the Hydro. On the evening in question ( 19th December) they had to stand and wait for an hour in very cold temperatures on a taxi. Neither of them are particularly stable on their feet, my mum has Parkinsons disease and her partner at 86 years old is not the most stable either and has had a triple heart by-pass. I am very disappointed that the staff could not be bothered to book a taxi to collect them when the show finished but would rather they stood outside in very low temperatures for a full hour. Not the best customer service I've heard about !

Hotel within easy reach to city centrePosted Dec 28, 2014
Pros: We can always rely on any hilton Hotel to be of good standard.
Cons: An extra chair in the room would have been good. One easy chair and two people.
Location: I cannot comment. I am a stranger to Glasgow and did not have much time to look around.Marie
Overall we were quite happy with the service but found the range of food at the bar buffet counter to be of limited range. The breakfast buffet was excellent.

Near the motorwayPosted Nov 20, 2014
Not much to see or do in the immediate area - the view of the motorway was not attractive although the noise insulation was excellent.
