a few problemsPosted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: Close to train station - walking distance; and a short cab ride to,the airport.
Cons: Provide free wi-fi
Location: We only stayed one night to catch an early flight.
We had trouble getting wi-if access and had to have room service bring us ice since there are no ice machines. We thought it was unusual to charge for wi-if access in light of the room cost.

Overpriced and underwhelmingPosted Jul 28, 2015
Cons: Costs, soundproofing, relocating it to somewhere else in the city.
Location: 20 mins walk into town where there are lots of bars, restaurants etc. 10 mins to the Glasgow School of Art.
Overlooking the M8 on one side and a building site on the other, no-one would stay here for the views. And it's a good 20 minute walk into town so not really convenient either. We booked for the pool and leisure facilities, but the gym is jaded and it's difficult to swim in a pool full of children (not their fault of course, but keeping them out of the swim lane would be helpful). It's also difficult to understand why, in a world where even basic B&Bs offer their guests free wi-fi, the Hilton brand continues to charge extortionate fees for wi-fi access. All in all, apart from the LOVELY breakfast, we were disappointed and would not return. The corridors are noisy, the doors slam and there is inadequate sound proofing. On the whole we felt that the whole experience was mean spirited. There are cheaper hotels in the centre with similar facilities and far better located (try the Thistle).

Ideal for a weekend treatPosted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: The breakfasts and health club, top notch.
Cons: Lighting in the bathroom
Location: The Merchant city festival is worth a visit, Glasgow is generally better than Edinburgh for music, and this festival could grow into a big event
Big but friendly hotel, our favourite and ideal for a weekend visit to Glasgow. We had bed and breakfast, the breakfast was something else, but the price of the evening meal put us off, and there are plenty dining options at lower prices within walking distance. Room was big and comfortable. Have been to this hotel a few times now, and will go back again.

Long weekend in GlasgowPosted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: Pleasant staff and good views
Location: It is a fair walk to the City Centre
The hotel is on the extremity of the City Centre and there are many better located. Both food and drink are overpriced but there is nothing wrong with the staff or the building apart from its location.

It was OK.Posted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: Location is good for shopping.
Cons: The rooms are a bit dark.
It was OK. I mean it didn't have a special '5 star' feel to it. Maybe it's a bit tired and little details like the hotel pen and toiletries were unremarkable. It just didn't shout '5 star' hotel to me.

Hilton hotel next to the motorway.Posted Jul 2, 2015
We had quite a few problems with our room. First of all, it was very small for a double room. It was really a single room but with 2 beds crammed in it. The photoframes were dirty and the toilet didnt always flush which was really annoying. Also the way in which the shower curtain was installed meant that water would go all over the floor and make it very dangerous when you get out. On the plus side, the breakfast, which i payed for to be included was really good, not a fault to be made.
