The hotel was in great condition and the rooms were very well maintained. The shower was the strongest I've ever used in a British hotel. Staff were excellent, knowledgeable and very helpful.

entering, the reception area was spotless and staff were accommodating and friendly and after entering the room it was also clean and lovely, only downside was the awful water pressure in the shower. On returning at nite I was upset that I couldn't get a drink at the bar at 0030 never been in a hotel with a bar that refused a resident a drink when staying in the building as its home away from home and was not drunk. The other major issue for us was breakfast in the morning which was one of the worst situations I have encountered in a hotel. Was putting food on my plate and couldn't believe there was no bacon and when I asked I was told 5 minutes which turned into 10. When looking for a table there was none free at all, I think having to stand and either eat your breakfast or wait for a table until it goes freezing is unbelievable to be honest for such a massive hotel chain such as this, Bacon finally came out when I had finished my breakfast which was then of no use. In all, except the cleanliness of the room and reception was disappointing and what I would expect in a budget b and b an not paying for a hotel such as a holiday Inn.

Lovely hotel close to everything.. I found the room cold so went to reception and one of the staff come sorted out the heat. Decent breakfast the staff were lovely

We asked for a high floor river view & we got it.Room was clean with good facilities nice comfy beds good shower only fault heater blower although kept the room warm was very noisey which meant room got cold during the night but that was because iam a light sleeper.Breakfast was adequate for the price paid it was warm & tasty.Overall good value for money would defo return.

Ideal city centre hotel
Nice hotel and location couldn’t be better, on the Clyde and 10 min walk to Argyle street. NCP 3 min walk. Staff friendly. Breakfast was good and we will definitely stay here again.

Property itself is clean and welcoming, it just happens to be in a rather unsavoury part of Glasgow - not its fault! Usually use Travelodge for short overnight stays but Holiday Inn is far superior in every way so we will be using Holiday Inn in the future.

Lovely hotel, location perfect too!
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone - especially those travelling with small children! The room was spotless & comfortable, and had everything needed for a short stay. The dove toiletries in the room were a great touch! The staff were so friendly, the breakfast was lovely, so much selection (believe me I’m so fussy) and what I loved the most, was there was a microwave in the foyer, which was perfect for heating up my little girl’s bottle of milk before bed.. they also had an ice machine too, which I thought was great, although we didn’t use it. I loved everything about this hotel, and will stay again if we’re ever in Glasgow again! Excellent service! Excellent location, right by the city centre!

Express visit
Stayed just one night while visiting Glasgow for the football. Hotel is exactly what you would expect for a Holiday Inn express. Small and basic rooms but clean and in good condition. Location is close to city centre, and metro, but area surrounding hotel isn’t the best. Would definitely return.
