“5-star staff”

When you book into a Holiday Inn you know it's going to be fairly basic. Rooms clean and breakfast fine with a lot of choice. The hotel was also located within easy walking distance of the city centre. What really sets this hotel apart is the staff. I don't think I've stayed anywhere that could match their friendliness and helpfulness. So good the Holiday Inn should consider sending them out to train the staff in some of the 4 and 5 star hotels nearby.

“Comfortable and reasonably priced”

My stay was fine, close to city centre and comfortable room. Shame the fire alarm went off at 6.45am though! Apparently someone burnt the toast!

“Glasgow's convenient gem”

This hotel is convenient for all of central Glasgow's attractions.It is ideally situated close to the railway station for travel outside the city. The rooms were clean and tidy and provide a good resting place for tourists on short breaks. The breakfast was excellent serving hot and cold food,that went beyond just a buffet. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

“Covenient for city centre”

I booked a family room for myself, husband and two daughters. We were given a very spacious room with double bed and double sofa bed. I had requested a quiet room. Our room was at the end of the corridor away from the lifts. The room was clean and comfortable. Buffet breakfast was good too. With a choice of cereals, toast, croissants, muffins, sausage and scrambled eggs. There is also a microwave for guest use beside the lifts. The hotel is a 3 minute walk from Argyle Street. No parking at the hotel but parking in the next street £5 for 12 hours or £10 for 24 hours. A basic hotel but reasonable price for city centre. Would use again.

“Just What I Needed”

The hotel was really just what I needed. I stayed for a week and the room was made-up impeccably each morning. The front desk staff was quite helpful in providing information about local attractions and transport. The breakfast was quite good. An added attraction was the close proximity of two of Glasgow's historic pubs!

“Fantastic value for money”

This was not opulence and luxury, but for the money paid and the product received, it was fantastic value for money. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, the location was really good, and the free breakfast was actually really quite decent. We had absolutely no reason to complain - especially with the super-low tariff.

I found this hotel excellent value for money. It was clean and the staff were friendly.It was about 10min walk from central station and 5min walk from st. enoch underground. It was about 5min walk from shops.

“Cheap hotel, good 'free' breakfast, central location”

Big quiet room at the back of the hotel over looking a carpark. Situated close to the river Clyde, though I'm not sure any of the rooms would offer a good view of it. 10 minutes walk to the hotel from the train station. Close to all the high street shops and restaurants. Was given a disabled room (I'm not disabled), which meant that the room was bigger, but was without a bath. Just a shower room which had a slight smell of stale urine which was particularly unpleasant. This was the only fault of the room.
