Short and nice stayPosted Aug 22, 2014
We stayed for a night and found the staff really helpful and nice. We were not so happy with the room size. It was quite packed and there was little space to move about after the extra bed was laid out. It was clean and well kept though.

Good location. Family room very squashed.Posted Aug 3, 2014
Pros: Location. Also staff very helpful.
Cons: doors in the corridors / stairways need to be looked at to stop banging when they close. Family rooms would be better with put-up beds, not sofa bed.
Location: All of the city in walking distance although we only did commonwealth games events.
Perfect location, walking distance to everything. Room clean but very cramped once sofa bed was up and not enough space to put all of our stuff. Sofa bed not very comfortable and we were near to the stairs so every time someone came up the stairs and through the door, the door banged which made it hard to get to sleep. Breakfast was fine.

Clean and convenientPosted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: convenient, clean. Not far to subway station, St. Enoch and Argyle Street and Buchanan Street (about 5 minutes walk)
Cons: breakfast would be nice with added bacon and boiled eggs
Location: It is in the older part of town. Close to shopping at large department stores - Debenham's, John Lewis and others. Good walk to Glasgow Cathedral.
Clean hotel near St. Enoch Centre and about 5 minutes walk to the subway station. Rooms are clean but too tight for 3 people. Breakfast is ample hot and cold would be nice to have a choice of bacon and sausage as well as boiled eggs instead of the "scrambled premixed.". Lots of cereals, fruit, cheese, toast, muffins, croissants, buns. The staff are very nice and very helpful. It is a reasonably priced hotel and you get good value for the money.

Off the beaten track...Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: Front desk staff were great - particularly Magda!
Cons: Get better beds and pillows!
Location: Low rent part of town...
Magda was wonderful! Beds were too hard. Magda helped us find a room with a softer bed and gave us many tips on where to go in Glasgow. She is the best thing at the Holiday Inn Express Riverside.

Convenience is keyPosted Jun 14, 2014
Very convenient for purpose of visit. Area a little run down with a pub next door whose punters were a little intimidating. Glad I could walk back from dinner with friends. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful.

Good position for the centre of the city.Posted May 24, 2014
Pros: The easy access to centre of town.
Cons: Breakfast is a bit of a let down.
Location: Close to shops, railway station and pubs.
The hotel was close to argyle street station and we were able to go to SECC in minutes and very cheaply.

Nice hotelPosted May 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
Room was good enough for the price. Hot cooked breakfast items we're sparse, sausages, beans & scrambled egg but plenty of other continental items. No parking from hotel itself but private car parks around the hotel are plentifull. Just don't park on the street as its £6 per hour!
