Stayed one night as Hotel is close to HampdenPosted Nov 28, 2013
Pros: Enjoyed a wee drink in the Bar and Bartender made us feel very welcome
Cons: Shower was atrocious went from too hot to stand under to frozen cold continiously! I have very long hair so this was not fun at all.
Location: Walked from Hotel to Hampden Park for Scotland game and back again. About 25-30 minutes each way
It's an older Hotel but still quite nice staff were nice and quite helpful although the Breakfast Waiter says it's easier just to order a full breakfast, that way he did not need to bring you a menu, probably lots of food being wasted.

Convenient for East GlasgowPosted Sep 23, 2013
The hotel was conveniently situated for our Rutherglen destination. The room was rather small and quirky with cupboard doors needing to be shut before you could pass by. It was clean and warm however. Breakfast was substantial with a choice of full Scottish or Continental. The passage of staff with buckets and mops passing through the dining room together with shift changes conducted there as well was off putting and unnecessary. The cost of the hotel room alone was reasonable but was bumped up by approximately 30% by the Expedia booking fee. I was surprised when I became aware of this. Overall: Hotel - Satisfactory Expedia - Expensive

Needs lot of updating of the property. Very old property. However the service was excellent by all.

Poor QualityPosted Jun 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is in serious need of some tidying up and decorating. I stayed in an "Executive" double room and could only wonder what the standard room would be like. Shower was a joke and every bit of noise in the corridor could be heard through the wafer thin door. I must say though that the staff were all very friendly and I had a great breakfast of Haddock. Although a budget hotel I believe it was not good value for money.

Pleasant StayPosted Jun 11, 2013
The hotel is 4 miles from the city centre but there is the private cab company available. Do not take the metered taxi. The metered taxi is twice the travelling cost of the private cab. The hotel staffs are helpful and this arrangement can be arranged with them.

We had a good stay here. The staff at the hotel were friendly, and the hotel is basic but good value for money.
