“Need a Quiet Room with a View? This place is perfect!”

We were looking for a Scotland getaway, and Loch Lomond Glasgow was the perfect place to spend a weekend. The primary reason we chose this hotel for our trip was the location - it was roughly two hours outside of Edinburg, and less than an hour from Glasgow. Unlike the sprawl of American cities, however, Loch Lomond is a world away from Glasgow. The hotel is perched right on the pebble sand beaches of Loch Lomond, and our room had a view to rival any of the nicest we've ever experienced. The hotel staff were friendly, and the restaurant/bar overlooking the lake has a fantastic "lodge" atmosphere and good food. If ever we head back to the highlands, we would definitely look to stay at this hotel again.

“Lodge on the Loch Review”

We were very pleased overall with the hotel. Our room had a beautiful view with a balcony overlooking the loch. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and using the other leisure facilities.

“A little TLC required!”

We had beautiful weather for the wedding we were attending. We were given a room in the original hotel as opposed to the newer (2004) function suite. Our room had a lovely view (as all the rooms seem to have) but was a little 'tired' in comparison to the newer building. The price for that standard of room was a bit high in comparison to other hotels we have stayed in but there again they have a captive market for the wedding guests as there are not so many other options around...... That said I would recommend the hotel for a wedding (with a view like that it's hard to beat!). Just feel the main hotel is needing a bit of TLC!

“Overpriced”

The attractive pictures on the internet were not borne out in reality. A view of a Scottish loch is no substitute for good service and a well-appointed hotel. The decor was tired in both the lodge and the restaurant. The carpets in our room were stained and it had a redundant sauna - presumably adding to the cost. The restaurant smelt of stale cooking oil and the food was poorly prepared - e.g.soggy and overcooked chunky chips obviously deep fried in very old oil. Disappointing experience
