Cozy and authenticPosted Nov 17, 2013
Pros: Owners were so accommodating and helpful. Very clean and authentically appointed. A lovely respite from traveling and touring.
Cons: Water pressure in shower.
Location: We were able to walk to restaurants and pubs.
Lovely, helpful owners. Clean and cozy, convenient to airport. Safe neighborhood with lots of on street parking.

Great hosts and breakfast.Posted Oct 11, 2013
Chose this B&B because it's close to the airport. However, trade off is it was a good half hour walk to town center. The hosts are great as we're the breakfasts. After travelling around Scotland, returned here for last night before departing to the airport.

Friendly B&BPosted Oct 1, 2013
Pros: The friendly staff.
Cons: The room was chilly when we arrived. Not sure if were finally able to turn on the heat or if the heat was programed to come on in the evening.
Location: We were on an ancestral tour so had definite places to see on our own.
Staff was very helpful directing us to a place to eat. We were very jet lagged and needed to sleep in the afternoon. It was rainy outside and the room was very cold. The heat came on later.

A quality accommodation at a modest pricePosted Sep 26, 2013
Pros: Probably the key item, from which all satisfaction flowed, was the attitude and commitment of the owners, Fiona and Scott.
Cons: Internet consistency
Location: I walked to the Kelvingrove and Riverside Museums, each about a mile and a half away; Victoria Park and its lake, floral gardens and fossil trees.
I stayed at Manor Park a total of five nights, at different times throughout my Scottish visit as I used it as my "base camp" for other activities. The owners, Fiona and Scott, as well as their sons and their staff all made me feel very welcome and were eager to accommodate any expressed needs I might have. As an example, if I needed to leave the hotel earlier than the scheduled breakfast hours, a tray of items selected by me was provided to my room, for consumption the next morning. Another example is their having arranged for a 6:30 a.m. taxi to take me to the airport when it was time for me to leave Scotland. As I had noted in reading other reviews prior to my selection of Manor Park, the breakfasts were excellent and served "to order". Scott, who is an artist as well as an architect, had some of his prints of Scottish landscapes available for purchase at very reasonable prices, and I bought three! I stayed in three different rooms during my visit; all were immaculate in their cleanliness and order. The only negative, and one which I experienced throughout my Scottish visit, was a somewhat unreliable internet access, spotty at best. Of course, as I was afoot, it was necessary to do lots of walking whether to a bus stop, nearby shopping, or for evening meals at local restaurants. The closest of these were only about an 8-minute stroll away. Persons with an automobile would have not problem, especially since on-street parking is readily available.

Very hospitable hosts and staff. Nice sized single room and comfy bed. Special little soap! Breakfast was grand and hosts took time to speak with everyone. I would certainly recommend and would return.

Liked the neighborhood. Wanted something close to the airport. Beds comfortable. Overall amenities not quite up to what we've had at other B&B. Innkeepers friendly and flexible with our need to depart very early to catch a flight
