Pros: Good price, efficient service, clean well furnished room
Location: Excellent location, with easy access to theatres, restaurants and Sauchiehall and Buchanan Street shops.
Well situated, right next to the railway station and very easy access to the centre of the city.

Ideally situated for a concert at the O2 ABC

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: It was perfectly situated for our visit, quiet and had all the basics covered.
Cons: Soap and shampoo instead of dispensers. Needs a more upmarket feel, definitely felt cheaper than a Travelodge.
Location: We were only there to go to a concert at the nearby O2 ABC for which this hotel is perfectly located. Sauchiehall Street could be anywhere in the UK.
We wanted a hotel near the west end of Sauchiehall Street for a one night stay, easy to find and with its own parking or parking nearby. The Charing Cross multi-storey car park is right next to the hotel with reasonable rates for a one day stay. We were visiting Glasgow to see a concert at the nearby O2 ABC, never having been before. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the venue so couldn't have been better placed. The hotel is pretty standard for a Premier Inn. Not luxurious but the basics are covered and the buffet breakfast was well worth paying for. It kept us fuelled for the run back to England. We didn't have chance to explore much of Glasgowm that will have to wait but we can recommend La Boca tapas bar.

Excellent Central Location

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: Staff member Ezter went out of her way to help us. She was extremely friendly and always able to answer our questions and provide directions.
Cons: You will have to park your car at the pay parking lot beside the hotel. It is run by the City of Glasgow.
Charing Cross Premier Inn is an excellent downtown starting point for many day trips. Morning Breakfast at the Inn is excellent. Very reasonable prices and children under 12 eat free.

Good location for the price

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Arrived on site and slight delay in checking in but was upgraded for the inconvenience without even complaining thought this was a nice touch. Room was on 9th floor great view of Mitchell library and other landmarks. Room was comfy only minor gripe bathroom sink would benefit from mixer tap as hot water is HOT!!! That's me being picky. Staff all friendly and bar was nice to have a wee night cap overall good affordable city centre hotel close to the kings theatre and lots of restatraunts.

Nice city hotel

Posted Jul 5, 2014
The hotel was close to the City center. For us it had a great location since it was very close to the concert that we attended. The rooms were nice and clean, the staff very friendly and helpful and the breakfast very nice. I definitely would stay here again if I would go back again.

Pleasant hotel close Sauchiehall St and motorway

Posted Jun 19, 2014
Pleasant staff. Decor in pretty good order. Room very compact, but clean and I had everything I needed. Only downside was poor breakfast service. Continental breakfast option all but out of food 1.5 hrs before end of service. Explanation was that hotel was very full, but that info known to staff ahead of time so no excuse for not having enough food for guests. That aside, I would stay at hotel again.

Not a room for Lenny Henry

Posted Jun 7, 2014
Pros: Room and bed was big enough (I'm 6'3"), clean, TV/shower/kettle worked fine, and it was quiet.
Cons: I couldn't get the window of room 1118 to shut completely, which is a problem when your view includes a motorway.
Location: Good-enough restaurant at front door, lots of other pubs/restaurants close by, as is a theatre, the Art College and 10 minute walk to Kelvingrove
I was very pleased with the vast majority of the hotel - room was clean, big, lovely view (cracking sunset the evening I stayed), close to a good enough restaurant and unlike other Premier Inns I have stayed in in the past I was not kept awake by corridor doors/lift noises or wakened in the morning by domestic staff. However, I couldn't shut the window completely, which is a bit of a problem when you're looking out over a motorway. I reported it to staff in the morning, explained that because of this my experience of the hotel was 'poor' - sleep deprivation does that to me.
