not 5*, but convienient and nice

Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: convienient to central station, walking distance to restaurants, shops, nice large room
Cons: hallways are dark with small windows, had to ask desk for a few things a couple times, did not feel that it was a 5*
Location: next to central station (train station), walking distance to restaurants and shopping
Easy check in, convienient. Had to call a few times to get an extra towel, spacious rooms and comfortable, but long dark hallways. did not feel it was a 5* experience/ hotel. had to call desk a few times for issues. Stayed at a hotel a block down the street (rated 4*) priced lower and comperable rooms/ service. My carlton card was entered at reservation, but hotel did not recieve it. They would not look up my number, and would only put the information into the system If I gave it to them.

Superzentral, aber geschmacksneutral!

Posted May 11, 2015

Internet not working; gym equipment broken

Posted May 3, 2015
Pros: nothing
Cons: management - ZERO concern about the satisfaction of their guests
Location: right next to the train station, so the neighborhood is sketchy. close enough to walk to pedestrian zone & shopping.
The internet was down for a full day (not sure when/whether they ever got it going again - I left). Management could care less about this essential service at a business class hotel. Several of the machines in the gym were broken throughout the time of my stay. I love Scottish breakfasts, but the food here was mediocre at best. The porcelain in the bathroom was old and cracked and stained. No TLC has been put into this hotel's maintenance for many years. It was very expensive for what it was - a boutique hotel for the same price, or a lower end business class hotel would have offered better value for money.

More 2* than 5*

Posted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: Pre visiting - The web site description. Post visiting - Nothing.
Cons: 1. It could be pulled down & redesigned 2. Be honest on website about when leisure facilities are open. 3. show room sizes on website! etc.......
Location: In centre of Glasgow.
I had booked a business class room for the sunday night. The room was tiny, & probably the smallest hotel bedroom I've ever seen. I had to pay an extra £25 to upgrade to a room I didn't find claustrophobic. The hotel was advertised as having gym etc. When I tried to use gym, I found out that on sunday afternoons, the gym closed at 4pm! The bed in my upgraded more expensive room was very uncomfortable! I could feel broken springs through the mattress. Breakfast the next morning was also disappointing. Glasgow doesn't have many decent hotels. However surely none as bad as this? Worst, it's graded 5 star!

Fantastic hotel, highly recommend!

Posted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: Rooms; staff; restaurant
Cons: The beds and pillows could have been a bit more comfortable
Location: Very central location, close to most attractions in Glasgow!
We had a very enjoyable stay at the Radisson in Glasgow. The rooms, and the hotel overall was clean, modern, spacious and very stylish. The staff were friendly and very helpful - and helped us make the most of our limited time in Glasgow! The beds and pillows could have been more comfortable, but they weren't big issues. We also ate at the restaurant two nights, which was great - the food was of a high quality and the service was great! Would definitely stay again and recommend it to others!

All as it should be.

Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: Location, cleanliness and amenities.
Location: Centrally located.
I stay at the Radisson Blu overnight two or three times every year when visiting a friend. It's ideally located close to the station and the shopping areas. The hotel is warm, clean and very comfortable and all the staff that I've met are friendly, helpful and efficient. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Brilliant hotel!

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Had an amazing time at this hotel, room was great, the hotel overall is brilliant, good location, close to shops but just out enough to be quiet!! Left my iPad in room after check out but staff were more than helpful when I went back for it! Only downside (don't know if I would call it that though) is that in the bathroom there were two glasses, one of which had a toothpaste smear on it, but did not affect our stay at all! I will definately be returning, very much get my money's worth!

Pros: room and breakfast
Cons: difficult to say.
Location: shopping, restaurants and bars all near by
Excellent Hotel in an ideal location. Dont be put off by the parkingas it is really straight forward and the Radisson will help with the cost of the parking. Room was great and the staff were superb. fantastic breakfast. couldn't really fault any of it.
