Our room was in the basement.Posted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: The staff was nice.
Cons: Include breakfast with the room. I was told because we did not pay for breakfast we could not get any. Even if we wanted to pay.
Location: Great location.
Having a room in the basement made us have to keep our shades closed all the time. Also tons of noise from water pumps. Made me crazy at night.

Good location if you need to park a hire car.Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: that we could park the car on the street outside the front door. On Saturday and Sunday this was free and on weekdays there was a reasonable charge
Cons: Clean the mould and grime from the bathroom, maybe re tile. Allow all guests to have breakfast in restaurant. Fix wifi so it works in rooms.
Location: Excellent location to the Kelvingrove museum and art gallery and university . Also to small supermarkets.
We arrived to be told we could not order breakfast as it needed to be ordered at time of booking. The web site did not make this information clear . We were given a wifi password and went to our room to discover it did not work. On questioning this at the desk we were informed that wifi did not work in the rooms. Children in adjoining rooms were making an excess amount of noise and on mentioning this at the desk we were told that it was perfectly ok for this to happen until 10 pm !!! The shower water took a long time to heat and the shower recess was unhygienic.

Not a great stayPosted Aug 9, 2014
The wifi didn't work in our room and when we asked about it we were told to come sit in the lobby and try. The beds didn't have top sheets and my bed sloped to one side making me feel I was falling out of bed all night. The bathroom had mould on the ceiling and there was no shower door so it just soaked the floor (no surprise about the mould). We were expecting to be near downtown as advertised but it was a 30 minute walk. The room was hot and noisy and it was difficult to sleep. No AC.

Excellent location in KelvingrovePosted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: friendliness and proximity to West End.
Cons: Be prepared for the noisy plumbing but this is common in a building of tnis age -had read about it before we booked and didn't bother us.
Location: Bus stop for airport opposite hotel and City tour bus stop 100m away. Kelvingrove art gallery just down road and Kelvingrove park just round corner.
Small, friendly hotel in an excellent position to explore the West End. We had a triple room below street level but it was very bright and airy - probably the biggest triple room I've stayed in. The decor was bright and modern and although the room was at the front of the building and on a main road it was suprisingly quiet at night -we never heard a thing. Special mention must go to the two male receptionists who couldn't do enough for us - they made us feel so welcome as if we were visiting a friend's house instead of a hotel.

Friendly staffPosted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Friendliness of guy on reception. Made me feel very welcome. Close to some good restaurants.
Guy on reception really friendly and helpful. Gave great advice on a good restaurant as well as bus timetable.

The manager (who seemed to work from morning to night everyday), was lovely! He was very accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable on the area!! The wifi kept coming in and out(as our room was the furthest away from the router). Overall, decent stay.

I enjoyed my stay, but would have liked breakfast earlier. I had to leave early so missed my breakfast. The fellow on duty was extremely helpful and very nice to deal with. I liked having a restaurant nearby for dinner. I felt comfortable walking in the neighborhood. I wouldn't hesitate to use you again

Looks can be deceivingPosted Jun 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
As you walk into the hotel i was impressed by the reception area and the helpful happy attitude of the staff. Upon receiving my room key and directions i was rather disheartened to find i was a stones throw away from my current position meaning the likely hood of a noisy night as people passed through reception. The room was clean and the location was perfect for the SECC exhibition center. For the price and location this was a perfect hotel and that night i slept soundly as their was well sound proofed doors and little noise that i noticed from passing traffic. Definitely a highly recommended hotel for anyone traveling on business.

Wonderful staff, nice hotelPosted Jun 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
Great service on arrival, helped carry our bags to our rooms and recommended plenty of options for food and sightseeing. Hotel room was a little small for our family and we were a little disappointed we couldn't have a second cot for our toddler despite requesting this when we made the booking.
