Home away from home

Posted Nov 12, 2013
Pros: cleanliness
Cons: Nothing just keep doing what they are doing
Location: Location is great for us since we have family just a few miles away. We were up just for a family visit so we did not plan on any excursions
The hotel was very neat and clean. Their breakfast was satisfying-saved us money on the meal. We had stayed here before when we came up for a funeral so we knew already how nice it was. The Bob Evans restaurant being so close is also a plus.Clea

Comparison to other hotels in the area.

Posted Oct 15, 2013
Pros: Staff in breakfast area.
Cons: something needs to be done about the air system and the cleaning staff
Location: This was perfect for my needs
We have always stayed at this hotel when we traveled to Indiana. In the past our stay was a very nice experience but this time it was not. We stayed 5 days and the room smelled terrible. I sprayed the room every day and it could not over come the smell. I realized the last day that the smell was coming from the air conditioning system. I received a blast of the odor while sitting at the desk. The cleaning staff didn't replace some of the room items such as bags for ice container, sheets even though a 5 day stay, general cleaning of the room was poor. The women in the breakfast area were wonderful. They worked so hard to keep everything working and available. My final thought is that next time I will try a different hotel to see if it is any better. I will compare costs and services. This may be the better one but I will have to see.

Nice quite, clean hotel.

Posted Oct 11, 2013
Pros: The quietness
Cons: The breakfast buffet was not really special, could be improved. The staff did what they could but didn't have much to work with, no selection.
Location: Don't know of any attractions.
I stayed three nights at the hotel as I had business on that side of the city. I will stay there again if in Indianapolis. It is off the interstate far enough that there is little noise, no trains and far enough from the airport that it was not even a mention.

Never again

Posted Oct 9, 2013
Pros: There is little to recommend this property.
Cons: Fortunately, the list of needed improvements exceeds the space available here.
We booked a king suite through Expedia. On arrival we were given a room at the top of the stairs (no elevator) which turned out to be locked from the inside. After returning to the front desk to notify them of the problem, we were given another room. I mentioned that we had reserved a king suite and was informed that "we don't have any suites, just rooms we call suites". A staff person accompanied us to a new room and informed us that we were getting a better room out of the deal. They had, she explained, been talking about not using the first room any more since it was right next to a noisy lounge area. Really? Then why did you give it to us in the first place? Arriving at the second room, we found the door standing open. The room smelled like a dirty ashtray. The carpet was damp; the bathroom floor sticky. It was late. We needed sleep. So, we stayed. Never again.
