Nice HotelPosted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: The staff was very helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable. I like the fact there was a fridge in my room. I could keep my drinks cold.
Cons: Lower the temperature in the pool area. Get rid of the biscuits and gravy and serve eggs and sausage. Extend breakfast hours to 11.
Location: Located close to interstate 70. Many places to eat close by including my favorite, Steak N Shake.
Had a great experience here. The staff was helpful and our room was clean. The temperature was very comfortable in the room when we arrived. The pool area was rather hot inside, my 3 year old would not go in at all. My 13 year old had to swim by herself. I had to stand outside the door with my 3 year old because my 13 year old had to be supervised. The TV went in and out because of bad weather. I guess that would happen anywhere. I didn't much care for the continental breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were not very tasty. I should have went for the pancakes. It would be nice if I could have slept in on my vacation, but had to be up and have breakfast before 9:30. I wish the continental breakfast would last til 11. I would base my hotel choice off the times breakfast ends.

On the way to the WestPosted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Cleanliness and mattress quality
Cons: Bathroom towels are thin.
Location: I only stayed at the hotel and did not go elsewhere
I was impressed with the cleanliness of hotel and the mattress comfort. The mattress was the best of our 10 day trip. The thinness of the bathroom towels can be improved.

Perfect budget hotelPosted Jul 8, 2015
Nice place just off I70 about 20-30 min east of Indianapolis. Yes it's a >$100 a night lodging but you can't ask for more at this price point. Everything was as it should be, perhaps more so. The overall condition of the building, grounds and room was excellent. It seems to have been very well maintained. The room was normal size but spotlessly clean. All the common areas were the same condition. The morning breakfast was acceptable, waffles, bagels, cereal, juice, coffee, normal stuff. The perk here was that there was a hotel staff person dedicated to just the breakfast room. She kept things stocked, cleaned and helped the patrons. Outstanding. One comment about the Manager. I spoke to her personally and she said she had worked there for 23 years. No newcomer from out of town who just got hired. She knows her business well. Also she won't take any crap from unruly patrons. There was a construction/utility crew there from out of town who wanted to make the hotel their personal party zone. She threw them out! Who does that? Again, outstanding. Last, there are many choices for dining in the area, within a mile. Cracker Barrel is walking distance and a Walmart just across the street for supplies. (We spent $100 there.) Last point, we actually stayed there twice, different days, on the same trip. Both visits were the same so this is a great indication of consistency for the hotel. If you have a family and can't afford $150+ per night for a hotel, this is the place.

Stairs were a bit old, otherwise good value for a place to sleep.

Good for an overnightPosted May 17, 2015
We were in town for an event at the local junior high and just needed a place to sleep. The hotel is older, but seems to be in good condition. The kids swam for a bit and liked the pool. There's popcorn available in the lobby, which the kids really liked. Breakfast was your standard hotel breakfast, with the addition of sausage gravy and biscuits. The only thing I didn't like was the size of the bathroom. It was tiny, and I had to hunch over in the shower. I think that's due to the age of the hotel and wasn't really a big deal. If we go to the same event next year I'd stay there again.

Just passing through.Posted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: The staff was friendly and knew about the area.
Cons: An eating table in the room
Location: Near to many dining options and easy to find from interstate.
Staff was friendly and eager to please. The room was spacious. It would have been perfect but there was no eating table. I do miss that but more and more it is missing in motel rooms.
