very overpriced and depressingPosted Aug 13, 2012
For the price you would expect a nice hotel, don't. While the beds are comfortable and the bathroom is clean...the rest of the place is in complete disrepair. The wallpaper is dingy, the room had an office ceiling complete with flourecent light, the tv is from the early 90s and there was a used comb on the floor. The carpet was stained and dingy as well. I enjoyed the wineries a lot, but feel like I really overpaid for my lodgings. I enjoy a quaint bed and breakfast, but this place's pealing paint and musty smell just was sad and depressing.

Very nice place to stayPosted Jul 22, 2012
Lovely old hotel, very nice setting, room comfortable, location fairly handy to downtown (easy six block walk). The only downside was that the bathtub drained very slowly. Drew it to the attention of management on checkout. They took note of it and I got the impression they will fix it.

Great location for lighthouse huntingPosted Jul 2, 2012
Pros: The gingerbread on the houses, the porches, and the relaxing atmosphere makes me want to come back for a longer stay.
Location: we went to several lighthouses and this was very convenient.
We loved the location. It was near restaurants and the ferry but far enogh away that we awoke to dirds chirping. The room was spacious and the buildings are darling. Breakfast was wonderful and you could linger or be up and out the door if needed. It was quaint and quiet.

Pros: staff was pleasant
Cons: upkeep of Inn both inside and outside disappointing
Location: great location
Upkeep of Inn was disappointing. Sofa bed broken, screen to porch torn, stained chair cushions, moldy plastic outdoor furniture.

not impressedPosted Oct 25, 2010
I feel the motel should indicate they are not doing normal business during the week and only on the weekends and should lower their rates during the week to compensate for this

Would go back in a MinutePosted Jun 30, 2010
We were in the area for our son's wedding. For the two nights preceding the wedding weekend we stayed here. It is family operated and everyone could not have been more kind or helpful. We asked to store some food in both the walk-in refrigerator and freezer on the premises. Everyone was pleasant and very anxious to help us in any way.

A Classy PlacePosted Jun 24, 2010
A traditional hotel located at the tip of Long Island in Greenport New York. The exterior has a classical appearance, however, the rooms were very comfortable. We thoughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
