“Really comfortable stay”

What a great find - we were in Burlington to visit Elon and found this to be a wonderful hotel. Really comfortable quiet room with 2 big TV's and room for teens and parents. NIce place if you have to stay for a few days - small gym and pool but laundry facilities, nice lobby with newspapers and magazines, and decent breakfast in the morning.

“A nice stopping place.”

A very nice hotel, the room was clean and well stocked. We used the laundry facilities which were clean. The breakfast was also nice. My son and I were traveling together and we felt very safe in this neighborhood.

“Be back at Christmas”

The only thing I have to say is at the Continental Breakfast they did not replace or replenish the food. Many items were missing or very short .

“Where I'll be staying whenever I'm in the area.”

I have stayed with Country Suites in Burlington, North Carolina, twice. On both occassions the hotel has been clean, welcoming and professional. Their breakfast selection is broad and enjoyable. Offerings such as fresh fruit (sliced berries, melons, etc.) are a pleasant change from what many hotels include in their continental. During both stays, the housekeeping staff have been meticulous, keeping the rooms fresh and clean. Beds are comfortable, and the choice of down-free pillows is great for allergy sufferers. Any requests at the front desk are handled quickly and to great satisfaction, and all staff members are both friendly and efficient. This will be my hotel of choice any time I am in the area.

“Lacking”

The ceiling in the bathroom was dripping because of the frozen air conditioning. Not a place I want to go back to. You think it is a nice place from the outside.

“Incredibly Impressed! Highly Recommend”

I was in town for a triathlon and the hotel opened the breakfast an hour early to accommodate those of us who were racing that day! The people at the front desk were by far the most friendly and helpful I have encountered in years! I would absolutely stay here again, it was a wonderful experience. Too bad every hotel can't meet these fine people's standards, I would stay here any day over some other expensive hotel where the people are snobs and don't want to do their jobs, I was incredibly impressed. This should be a 5 Star hotel in my opinion, simply due to the staff!

“Centrally located”

Room was nice and large. The only negative is that our room faced the highway, so it was rather noisy. The complimentary breakfast was nice, and the staff was very helpful.

“Worthwhile, despite flaws”

On the plus side, you have a very good breakfast buffet - incl. the ever-present wafflemaker, along with omlettes, biscuits, and the usual mix of fruits, cereals, juices, yogurts and the like. The room is large, with generous amenities: 2 TVs, 2 phones, 2 dressers, mine had king bed (in separate bedroom, which is nice) and pullout double bed, small table, cable internet (ask for cable at desk, and grab a cookie too). Microwave, fridge, coffeemaker (unnecessary unless you drink it after breakfast). The workout room is for legs only; there are only 3 machines (treadmill, elliptical, recumbent bike), but they are excellent ones, and there's a TV in there as well as water cooler. On the downside, though, water pressure was surprisingly weak. The room was like a cave, hard walls and high ceilings creating an echo chamber. Wallpaper border peeling off in bedroom. Stains on upholstered chairs. Noisy, angry patrons in the hall one night - perhaps C.S. does not always attract a classy clientele. Lobby fireplace (probably gas) not turned on despite bitter cold outside and the potential to add charm to the modest sitting area. There vicinity has many fast food and better establishments, as well as shopping. We did elect to get a room away from the road, it's probably worthwhile. I neither felt cheated, nor that I got a great deal. Were the closed-off bedroom not important for this visit, I'd consider other options, such as the Courtyard next door.
