“"Well kept secret"”

This is my second stay at this site and both were positive. It is a well maintained 'no frills' motel and very quiet.Rooms have a well organized kitchenette with a full size fridge.

“OMG...”

Fine if you are down on your luck and need a cheap place to live until you're back on you're feet, but I wouldn't recommend this as a weekend get-away destination - room was run down, and I didn't want to touch anything. The front desk clerk was very pleasant and helpful, but that was the best part of the experience. We did not feel safe there, and we decided not to stay in the hotel.

“good and bad”

The pillows were like lead and woke up two days with neck pain, the walls must be very thin, there was stomping and sounded like furniture moving above us on both nights until 2 or 3 in the morning. Finally on the last night when we could find an attendant we made a complaint from lack of sleep. The price was good and the room was spacious. I was somewhat nervous at some of the people that were checking in. The front desk people were not very nice, they acted like you were bothering them if you asked for anything. There was one nice lady that checked us in.

“Simple hotel - siimple stay”

This hotel is not a luxury hotel - but for a quick over-night stay was reasonable - the staff was friendly and my only complaint is that they do not have ice machines - they do have tiny ice trays in the freezer in the room - but that doesn't do much for you when you check in. Otherwise it was a fine choice.

“Very nice little town!”

Great food and a fun bar there in High Point. Location of hotel was great and I felt safe.

Dining

Blue Water Grille and OSO both have a wonderful atmosphere and dinner about $20 a person.

Nightlife

Nightlife would be After Hours tavern-Bands every weekend and an older crowd around 30 to 50 range.

“Smell Bad and Dirty”

If you like the smell of pot then you will love this place. Hotel was dirty, was told non smoking available but come to find out it was available to others. I would not stay there again.
