Hotel charged for room damage that didn´t happen

Posted Mar 13, 2015
I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights, the overall stay was ok. However after came back home found a charge for $300 in my credit card. I called the hotel and they mentioned that there was room damage, that the knobs for drawers and closet were missing. I stay in hotels over 50 times per year and I have never thought about having to document my arrival for any disputes after my arrival. Be careful if you stay in this hotel.

Disappointed

Posted Mar 11, 2015
Pros: We enjoyed the indoor pool. Beds were nice. The warm cookies were nice, only offered one though for 3 people.
Cons: Bring down Breakfast prices, microwaves and fridges in room. Train housekeeping
Location: A couple nice shopping areas with in 5 to 10 miles. Collesium for sporting/events
You think of the name Doubletree by Hilton and the first thing that comes to your mind is Hilton. Luxurious, comfortable, pleasing, and over the top. Not at all what we got. The 2nd floor is where our room was and as stated by a previous person the hotel floor had a stale smokyness in the air. (Sad thing is I am a smoker and I noticed the odor since I don't smoke in my home) Very upsetting that there was No Microwave and/or Fridge in room. The only Microwave in hotel was in the main lobby. Breakfast is not included, which we were aware of, but the prices for room service were, needless to say, defenitely Luxurious for pancakes. Had the don't disturb sign on door and house keeping came in and made beds, did towels, and emptied trash. Very upset and called front desk. The reason for this was we have new house keepers. The did offer a Voucher for resturant for a free appetizer. (Didn't get or use was very upset) Very disappointed that I spent the extra money for the name, thiinking I would get better. =(

Comfort & Safety

Posted Feb 23, 2015
As a woman traveling alone on business, this hotel & staff made me feel completely comfortable & safe. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable as well. I would book a room there again and certainly recommend this hotel to others.

Poor Service

Posted Feb 19, 2015
Hotel staff not at all helpful. No one knew answers to questions and did not seem interested in finding them out. Not at all what I expect from a Hilton property.

Great Stay

Posted Feb 19, 2015
Pros: Staff was very friendly and rooms were very nice!
Cons: the breakfast buffett!
Location: very convenient location. Within walking distance to many restaurants and a mile to the coliseum. Right off the intersection so easily located!
everything was great, they allowed us to check in early because no one was in our room. They were very friendly, greeted us with a warm cookie! :) The only thing I didn't like was the breakfast was either $6.99 for the fruit/cereal buffet or $11.99 for the full buffet. We thought it was complimentary. Other than that, everything was great. They even offer a shuttle to the concert for $10.00 round trip per person which made it much more convenient than finding a taxi! thanks again and we will be back!

Kind of like and aging dowager?

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Hotel was nice enough, but it felt a bit dated. I only stayed there because I got stuck in the snow. Everything felt a bit dated. Little things like cream for coffee were missing from the coffee stand in the lobby. The restaurant also felt kind of dated although the food was decent enough. Staff in the restaurant were very nice. Didn't really see any staff in the hotel.

Bad drainage

Posted Feb 17, 2015
The hotel was nice but the sink and tub in our room wouldn't drain. That's just gross when brushing your teeth or trying to shower

Pros: Nice rooms, very comfortable beds
Location: Very close to Greensboro Coliseum
We wanted to find a place close to the Greensboro Coliseum so we didn't have to drive back to Cary after the Jason Aldean concert. Doubletree has a good reputation. It was clean, very friendly staff, nice facilities, free internet, and nice breakfast. We took the shuttle they had available to the concert and back so we didn't have to drive.

Jason Aldean concert

Posted Feb 17, 2015
We booked this hotel because it was so close to the venue. It was relatively nice, but didn't have a shuttle. We paid a company $10 for a round trip from the hotel to the coliseum and met some great folks. Awesome!!!
