Pros: Staff was friendly.
Cons: Rooms need a serious updating.
Room seemed shabby and old. Didn't give off a feeling of cleanliness and freshness. Furniture was dated and not new. Bathroom was really small and again, old.

Comfortable and cleanPosted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Beds were very comfortable; room was clean; front desk and housekeeping staff was friendly
Cons: Rm 333; left sink handle needs fixing; door to bathroom creeks;
Location: Chose hotel because Elon hotels were booked. Convenient, easy drive to Elon.
We enjoyed our stay at the Marriott Greensboro. The room was clean and comfortable, especially the bed. Front desk and housekeeping staff was very friendly. Restaurant/bar staff friendly, but seemed understaffed and thus service was slow. Breakfast was ample and good (service very slow); dinner was good as well- we ended up having to sit in the restaurant area because the bar area was full. There are no alternative restaurants nearby, but thankfully the food was very good and there was no need to go in search of other restaurants. Would like to mention that the gap under room doors is such that any sound in hall is amplified. Both nights we were awakened several times by people who spoke at full volume which sounded like they were in our room. Doors slamming was also very loud.

Great downtown location near Elon Law School.Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Predictably nice Marriott standards
Cons: Would love to have bathrobes in the rooms.
Location: Best downtown location near Elon Law School and baseball stadium.
We have stayed here on numerous occasions and the staff is fabulous and the rooms are very clean, commodious and well appointed. I wish they had robes in the room. Otherwise, quite nice.

If you have to be downtown this is the best placePosted Jul 10, 2014 on Hotels.com
If you want/need to stay downtown this is the best choice, especially if you're on an expense account. Otherwise there are motels with rooms just as good outside of downtown.

Great Weekend GetawayPosted Jun 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
We live in Burlington and took the Amtrak to Greensboro station for a mini getaway. We arrived at the station on Saturday at 8am and walked to the hotel which was only .5 miles. We took a chance to see if our room was ready even though checkin is at 3pm. The kind lady at the desk said it was ready, which worked out great!!! We went to our very clean, comfortable room that had a great view of the Grasshopper stadium. We went down to breakfast, which was fantastic. After breakfast, we went to the indoor pool, which was very clean. We had the whole pool to ourselves for an hour. After pool time, we walked to all the nearby shops and restaurants. Everything was so close to this hotel..museums, antique shops, parks, many of restaurants, ect. After walking around all day, went back to hotel and slept on the very comfortable mattress. All and all, a great stay. The hotel staff was excellent and very friendly. They were always asking how things were and if we needed anything, to please let them know. This was a great mini vacation at little cost! We will stay here again.

One night business tripPosted Jun 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
After having flight difficulties and getting to the hotel at 1am, I was pleased with the friendly and attentive staff. I had booked a King bed, but my room had 2 doubles...normally would have asked them to correct this, but at that hour I was too tired to care...comfortable beds

Great Greensboro locationPosted Jun 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
It's a great location, just down the street from all the restaurants and nightlife on Elm Street. The staff was very courteous and helpful.

Not your typical Marriott Hotel!!Posted Jun 16, 2014
This hotel is boring and outdated. Bathrooms are very small...furniture is from the 70's...restaurants are sub-par at best.

A very pleasant stay. Our son is a student at UNCGPosted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: We enjoyed the buffet breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday mornings. We ate dinner on Saturday evening in the bar with a full service menu. Warm pool.
Location: Walked to Hoppers Single A baseball in a fairly new stadium.. Within walking distance of downtown Elm Street - boutique shops and restaurants, museums
Although an older property, very clean and well kept. Very accommodating from front desk , to bell assistance, to restaurant. Extremely friendly and welcoming. Parking is convenient, although one pays extra for covered parking. Elevators quick and well functioning.
