“nice visit”
Breakfast was great, pool was nice, courtyard was a nice place for the kids to run around, computer access in lobby area was convenient, and the staff members were very friendly and helpful.
“Spacious Bathrooms”
Not only was the room spacious, but the bathrooms were large, bright and well-lit.
“Good basic place to stay”
Nice room, air/heat unit fairly noisy, but most are. Breakfast not much to talk about, but overall a clean comfortable place to stay. Area features several other hotels and many chain restaurants within walking distance.
“Value For Price”
Free breakfast was good. Free newspaper. location in a busy but convenient area. Room was fine, but on first floor so too loud at night with a party going on in a conference room across the hall.
“Ok if you like dogs”
While I knew this was a "pet friendly" hotel, I didn't realize that meant our room would have the lingering aroma of animal urine and that we'd have to listen to someone's Chihuahua continually barking down the hall. The room itself was spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The pool area is really nice - very disappointed to find the hot tub roped off and not in service, though. The continental breakfast is mediocre at best. Location is great, but I'd elect to try another hotel if I'm ever in the Greensboro area again.
“Decent rooms...staff needs personality adjustments”
Upon arriving we received our room keys. We were put in smoking rooms when we asked for non-smoking. We went back downstairs to switch rooms and were told that only two non smoking rooms remained...we needed three rooms. The staff was less than friendly and seemed like it was a problem to be dealing with us. In the morning the waffle mix ran out and it took forever to get new mix put in the machine. The woman refilling the breakfast area seemed like we were all bothering her as well. (We stayed at the hotel during a Christian youth event located at the nearby Greensboro coliseum) I realize that there were a bunch of youth there but they did act very polite and the other groups we encountered were good as well.....there was no reason the staff should've acted the way they did. The rooms were comfortable. My only problem with the rooms was that the doors are very thin and we could hear everything happening in the other rooms or in the hallway. The hotel is being remodeled at this time. Hopefully that will include adding queen size beds to the rooms. Double beds just seem too small for adults.
“No Wakup, No Shuttle.”
The Wakeup call never happened. They called at 5:30 and asked if I was taking the shuttle. I said hold the shuttle and I'll be down. They said OK. I dressed and packed and was down in about 5 minutes. The shuttle was gone. Next one at 6:00AM. My flight was at 6:25AM. I told the desk clerk to get me a cab ASAP. I did make the flight in spite of the hotel. They didn't seem to understand the importance of making flights so I could keep my commitments with my customers.
“Hotel needs to be updated”
Hotel needs to be updated. Smells bad.
“not impressed. wont go back.”
traveled on this trip for business. printed off the hotel page that stated "wireless internet access" and "spa tub & pool" for relaxation. Once arrived it was found out that wired internet was in the room only, not wireless. Spa nor pool were open for use (temperature was in the 80's each day). Cleaning Service never showed up to clean or tidy the room. Remote had dead batteries and when asked for replacements to be sent up was informed that they were too busy and had to go get them myself. When down there found 2 people at front desk simply chatting, not working.
“over priced for what you get”
