Nothing special

Posted May 13, 2014
Pros: Close to my location.
Cons: Update! Did not even have the typical TV you would expect in a hotel.... Just TV, no movies.
Location: not much to do
Room was clean. Smoking was allowed in the lobby. Decent for the price.

Too expensive for what it I paid

Posted Apr 7, 2014
This hotel is extremely run down. The pictures are very deceiving. There was black stuff on the grout in the bathroom, wine stains all around, the carpet was pulled up from the floor with big wrinkles in them and the bathtub faucet was broken away from the wall. All in all, i was VERY disappointed with my stay for the price. If I wanted a dump of a hotel I would have gone to one half the price I paid for this one. When I told the hotel staff about the room issues, he just said "thank you".

Neutral Accommodations

Posted Mar 17, 2014
Pros: Staff was great and rooms were good sized.
Cons: Televisions and the furniture.
Location: Went for the ACC tournament, plenty of restaurants nearby, seemed reasonably safe all around.
This is an average hotel, it could use some updating, but it is not run down. I just pretty much want a clean, bug free, and secure room and parking lot and this hotel had all of those things. The biggest disappointment was probably the tvs, although I was not there to watch tv, its probably time to update to LCD's, the picture quality was bad. The tub had some read marks, which I hope were just pen marks, and they probably were, but still not what you want to see. I'd still stay there again all things considered.

Good Access to freeways & shopping

Posted Nov 2, 2013
Pros: The access to the freeway system
Cons: Room furniture and breakfast offer
Location: Good shopping and restaurants in the neighborhood.
The hotel is good value during the High Point Furniture Market period though it needs to have the rooms spruced up and offer better breakfast variety and quality of product.

This hotel is NOT worth the price!!!

Posted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: Absolutely nothing.
Cons: Tear this hotel down and re-build.
Location: Very close to the coliseum.
This is an old hotel. It is out-dated and has a terrible smell. The two ladies that checked us in were lack-luster and less than thrilled to be working. The room had an awful odor and I should have gone with my initial reaction and turned around and left to find another hotel. We didn't due to time but we could barely handle the overwhelming smell. Almost as if they were trying to cover up something. This hotel was not even worth 1/2 of what we paid. Obviously very disappointed. Steer clear, stay at the Hampton down the road.

Great value during the High Point Furniture Market

Posted Apr 25, 2013
Pros: Spacious rooms
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Super with food access to the freeways
Spacious rooms albeit with tired furniture. Bathroom clean well kept with required amenities. The only less positive is the free breakfast offered which is very limited and for guests staying over several days it will be tiring since it never changes not even the bread offering of a "aged" bagel.

Thanksgiving week getaway.

Pros: employees were courteous
Location: centrally located to our needs
The Park Lane is a nice hotel and our room was very comfortable. It was located near all the things we wanted to see and do. The employees were both helpful and friendly.

A good place for business trip

Posted Oct 16, 2012
Pros: The location and staff
Cons: The condition of the lobby of the hotel
Location: Great
The hotel has a whirlpool which is great after going to the market the whole day to help you relax, a continental breakfast which is not that great but better than other hotel around the corner with their price, the staff ate very accommodating.
