Good Access to freeways & shoppingPosted Nov 2, 2013
Pros: The access to the freeway system
Cons: Room furniture and breakfast offer
Location: Good shopping and restaurants in the neighborhood.
The hotel is good value during the High Point Furniture Market period though it needs to have the rooms spruced up and offer better breakfast variety and quality of product.

This hotel is NOT worth the price!!!Posted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: Absolutely nothing.
Cons: Tear this hotel down and re-build.
Location: Very close to the coliseum.
This is an old hotel. It is out-dated and has a terrible smell. The two ladies that checked us in were lack-luster and less than thrilled to be working. The room had an awful odor and I should have gone with my initial reaction and turned around and left to find another hotel. We didn't due to time but we could barely handle the overwhelming smell. Almost as if they were trying to cover up something. This hotel was not even worth 1/2 of what we paid. Obviously very disappointed. Steer clear, stay at the Hampton down the road.

Great value during the High Point Furniture MarketPosted Apr 25, 2013
Pros: Spacious rooms
Location: Super with food access to the freeways
Spacious rooms albeit with tired furniture. Bathroom clean well kept with required amenities. The only less positive is the free breakfast offered which is very limited and for guests staying over several days it will be tiring since it never changes not even the bread offering of a "aged" bagel.

Thanksgiving week getaway.Posted Nov 23, 2012
Pros: employees were courteous
Location: centrally located to our needs
The Park Lane is a nice hotel and our room was very comfortable. It was located near all the things we wanted to see and do. The employees were both helpful and friendly.

A good place for business tripPosted Oct 16, 2012
Pros: The location and staff
Cons: The condition of the lobby of the hotel
The hotel has a whirlpool which is great after going to the market the whole day to help you relax, a continental breakfast which is not that great but better than other hotel around the corner with their price, the staff ate very accommodating.

Old but adequate pricewise.Posted Apr 25, 2012
Pros: Comfortable room. Satisfactory breakfast. Very good service throughout. Properly priced.
Cons: Windows hadn't been washed for decades. Hallway carpeting long overdue for replacement.
Location: Excellent. Nicely located near shopping and eateries.
Old, once grand hotel with its better days behind it. It cries for refurbishment. Price is commensurate with its existing condition. Decent value.
