I work as a housekeeper at a state park so I’m going to notice a lot more things then other people who never been a housekeeper and I can say this is probably one of the most cleanest hotels I’ve been to. Everything looked up to date, the woman who checked me in was super nice and friendly and it was a quiet place. I will definetly come back here again if I am up that way later on.

The pool wasnt working . I called and asked if it was working before i made reservations thats why we came here so the grandkids could swim. We had to go buy things to do since we were stuck in a room . Black mold in the shower. The shower didnt drain we had to move to another room at 10 pm . Leaves and trash all over on parking lot. Blinds were ripped. Not happy at all. They said we cant help you because ypu made it through expedia. I had reservations somewhere else and cancelled because their pool wasnt working thats why we came here. Aggravated as can be

Not a good stay
Check in was kind of weird. System would not take any of our credit cards. Code was reservation had expired when I booked it 2 hours ago. Night manager had to call to get system to process our credit card. Was awakened at 5:30 AM with a very strong smell of automobile exhaust. So bad we had to get out of the room. Before leaving room I found a gap between the top window and the lower window that was large enough to stick my hand through. Told night manager and his response was “Are you leaving today?” I said he needed to go tell the owner of the vehicle to either move it or turn it off. He did and then told me they would be leaving soon. I really don’t like complaining about employees because so few people are willing to work. This night manager was not a bad person but seemed to be improperly trained. I place the blame on the hotel owner. This could have ended up very bad for my wife and I as if I had not awakened we could have ended up very sick. The night manager did apologize several times, which was probably all he knew to do. Again not properly trained. Urgency of the situation was not there.

We apologize for the issues. We will be speaking to the night manager regarding the issue. The window has been repaired. All of our rooms do have carbon monoxide detectors, which are checked monthly by maintenance Those were checked at the end of October.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is great with a nice dining area. Check-in was quick and efficient. Side door (closer to our room) card key scanner was broke. You could go out, but could not get back in, leaving you having to walk half way around the building to go through front entrance. Pretty quiet for the most part. However, if you happen to get a room next to a louder group or family, you may become frustrated with the noise seeping into your room. Overall a good experience, especially for the price.

Rooms were clean, but hallways were not, especially the open and carpeted stairway. Breakfast was standard. Check in staff member could use some training on greeting guests. (We used to own a hotel, so we’re a little more sensitive than some.)

Our overall experience was decent. We checked in on 09/21/23. The guy checking us in acted like we was just an inconvenience. He wasn't friendly or very informative. The hot tub is really just a tub with hot water jets didn't work.

We stayed at this Best Western on our way to Iowa and on our way back. Convenient to the Interstate with lots of dining options available. Breakfast bar was great. Rooms were well appointed and clean.

The front doors were off track possibly as it was making loud screeching noise every time it closed. The lower hallway smelled like chlorine. The room was very comfortable and spacious. Nice chair and beds. Bathroom was oddly configured with door almost touching the counter area and toilet.
