“Big Surprise!”
We had to stay at this motel, because all other rooms were booked. It was a real nice place to spend 3 nites. It was clean and very comfortable and convenient to Latrobe.Even though it was packed with Steeler fans and paintball warriors,we didn't lose a minute of sleep. You have to make a short u-turn to get back to Latrobe, but it was no bother. Thanks to the staff!
“clean and if we would be back in the area we would stay there again”
Room was clean in a nice area and would stay there again
“Good for the price.”
This is the best budget hotel I have found in the Greensburg area. Clean and in convenient location, with a nice coffeshop next door. Some problems (noisy heater, weak wi-fi, bad coffee at breakfast) but given the price it was fine.
“Looked like a newly updated room”
I'd stay again. the room looked like it had just been redone and the bed was good.you could see hotel from road but was a little tricky to get to.the breakfast and coffee were really bad it would be better not to offer cheap rolls and bad coffee. good coffee shop next door though. not bad for the price
“OK for a one night stay”
The room was OK, but then again the room was inexpensive. We had a stink bug in the room - nothing unusual for the area. The cleaning person did leave a dirty wash cloth behind. Other than that, we had a cheap roof over our heads with a clean shower for one night and a continental breakfast AND we we close to my step-son's college. We may look it up again.
“Rodeway Inn”
The cost is reasonable although the rooms are small, but comfortable. Friendly atmosphere.
“Maybe look elsewhere”
I stayed at this hotel in Feb. of 2010. The hotel desk clerk was nice enough, but not overly so. The complimentary breakfast was a bag of bread for toasting. The room itslef was a little sketchy. The TV didn't work, so I had to rig it myself to get it going. Once I actually got a picture, the remote didn't work. The bed was ok, but the pillows were flat. The shower curtain had mildew. There were no complimentary shampoos or conditioners, and only one soap. There were no cups or ice. The room was very small. On the plus side, it was cheap. There was a fridge. There was an iron. If you can afford more, it's worth the upgrade.
“OK for a cheap price”
Was remodeled and and nice appearance but rooms were small and you could hear activity in the rooms next to you. Bathroom was clean but the toilet had been used sometime prior to my arrival and not cleaned after. I was awakened at 1130pm by housekeeping pounding on my door and attempting to enter.
“Greensburg Rodeway, PA”
Very difficult to get ro the facility due to highway configuration. Obviously a much older motel but they have tried to upgrade it. The best feature was the bed, Superb to say the least. They should not be allowed to put "breakfast" in their add as it is a total joke! toaster, bread and lousy coffee, really very annoying!! Except for the bed wouls not stay their again.
“Play phone?”
I travel a lot, and I am not picky when it comes to simply having a place to rest. I pay a small amount for hotels because I don't NEED jacuzzis, minibars, or a 5-star meal every night. That's why I chose Rodeway. However, I DO expect basic necessities and at least a friendly concierge. The wifi wasn't working, so I went to call the front desk for help. The hotel phone wasn't connected to the wall.... it didn't even have a cord to do so. I had to walk to the front desk (which was close, but it was late and I was in my PJs) to ask for help. One of the employees was very friendly and knowledgeable; the other mumbled so much I couldn't understand if she was even speaking English. How safe can a person feel in a strange place with little cell phone service and no landline? What if something happened in my room and I had no way to call for help? Other than that, this hotel served its purpose and was very convenient.
