Super staff!

Pros: The staff..all of them, maids, reception and maintenance alike. Everyone was wonderful.
Cons: For the price, the hotel was what we expected. It is dated and could use new carpet, but what is there is perfectly clean and serviceable.
Location: There are several fast food restaurants within walking distance. Cracker Barrel is across the street, and a good Mexican restaurant is nearby.
We spent a week at this hotel for a softball tournament. The first three days our games were rained out. The first game we finally played started at 11:30 pm, putting us back in the room around 2 am. The staff was incredibly accommodating to us the entire stay. The day after we returned so late they kept breakfast open MUCH later so our girls could sleep in and still get breakfast. They provided all the little touches that made our rained-in days bearable, as well. Every staff member that we encountered was wonderful. The breakfast was great. My husband LOVED the sausage gravy. They even had chocolate chips, whipped cream and strawberries for their waffles. If we stay in that area again, we will certainly stay at this Baymont again.

I'll try anything once... NEVER try this twice :(

Pros: Quiet room.
Cons: Better staffing. More comfortable beds. Purchasing some cleaning supplies and then hiring people to use them.
I purchased a night at this hotel so that I could attend my niece's softball tournament in the Spartanburg area over the weekend of June 7-8. Several hotels in the area were already booked, and I noticed that this hotel still had rooms available. I quickly understood why this was the case. To begin with, you have to really pay attention to signs because the hotel is behind a KFC and empty lot. There's a small sign out front, but if you blink you'll miss it and drive right past the property. Upon arriving at the hotel at 3:30pm (which is usually prime check-in time) there was no one at the front desk to greet anyone, but instead a sign that said something to the effect of "Dial 0 to reach hotel staff". The individual checking me in asked for ID and Credit Card. I asked the individual if I could get a room on the 2nd floor and was told "rooms are already assigned and you're on the 1st floor". I got to my room and sat down on my bed (which was quite similar to sitting on a wooden box) and turned on the TV (which has about 30 total channels on it - felt like it was the 1980s). The bathroom had been marginally cleaned (hairs and stains around the toilet base, hair in the bathtub/shower). The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that they put me in a room on the very end so it was quiet. That's it - a quiet room - the one bright spot of an otherwise disappointing stay. I'll never be back.

2nd stay at Baymont Inn in Duncan SC

Rooms are clean and well maintained. Breakfast is provided is good overall with far more than a continental breakfast, but not quite a breakfast buffet. Good in room coffee if you've gotta have your cup o joe first thing. Pool and work out area with treadmill if that is important to you. A good location near I85, I26, Greenville, and Spartanburg. You get the ability to cancel with Hotels.com. If you modify your reservation(different beds), that goes away.

Nice hotel, everything you need nearby

Posted May 2, 2014
Pros: the convenience, location, service and value.
Cons: For a business traveler on a budget, it has everything you need for the right price.
Location: Lots of restaurants and services nearby. close to Spartanburg and Greenville
Traveled for work, hotel is 15 to 20 minutes to downtown Spartanburg. Traffic on 85 & 585 not bad at 7:30 and 5:30. Plenty of choices for meals within 3 minutes of the hotel. You can easily walk to 5 or 6 chain restaurants. The rooms were quiet, had coffee maker, microwave, & refrigerator, and a comfortable bed with plenty of pillows, the TV had a good picture, & the Wi-Fi connection was good. I was there during April so I couldn't swim in the pool, but it was looking good that last week. There is a fitness room with 4 machines - the Nautilus and the treadmill worked and there were fresh towels sometimes. The staff is friendly and the room was always clean, and the breakfast was well supplied. And the price was good!

very dissatisfied

I would never stay here again. TV reception was terrible. Air conditioner extremely loud. Refrigerator in room made constant annoying noise that did not go away when I turned it off. Many restaurants close by, but no sidewalks, so could not go 2 or 3 blocks without cutting through parking lots or walking in a very busy roadway. Staff was friendly and nice.

only thing negative was that the rooms open to the outside...therefore the noise level can be an issue.
