Better than expected

This hotel was better than I expected from the pictures. The room was clean and comfortable, but I little smaller than what I would expect for a king suite. Instead of a sofa, the room only had room for an armchair and ottoman. The arms on the chair where quite worn and the ottoman was discolored. The staff was very friendly and professional.

Convenient to shopping and dining

Location: Easy access to family dining and shopping
We booked at Baymont Inn & Suites for an overnight stay enroute to our primary vacation destination. The location was conveniently located near dining and shopping. We had Appleby's and Fatz's next door, a movie theater just 1 block away and a Walmart shopping center across the street. The room was clean but the bathroom was really small. The hotel staff was friendly but not overly helpful. The advertised free breakfast was a big disappointment. The room was no larger than a big pantry and the food selection was very, very limited. On our visit, there were no plates or cups in the eating area until the front desk clerk was asked to bring more in. It was an okay experience for our purpose, which was just a one-night stop but I would not have wanted to stay for an extended period.

The staff was helpful and the breakfast simple but complete with both hot and cold options. The bed was comfortable and appeared clean with adequate pillows. The bathrooms and sinks were dated with a few leaks. However the largest downgrade was the furnishings that look like they were from the 60s and the cleaning. The lounge chair was thread bare and stained, we would not sit on it. Peeking out from under the bed was an old french fry, clearly more than a day or two old. You can do better.

The same as always, good service and clean room. Have stayed here many times in the last year. This room had a very nice shower, the best one yet. The in-room coffee pot did not work and the air conditioner needed some work, was humid in the room the whole time.
