“Older Hotel, but holding up well”
Great convenient location, facilities somewhat in need of renovation, but staff are friendly, decor and furnishings are nice. Basically nothing to write home about, but gets the job done -
“Will definately stay then there again.......”
The fact thats its right downtown is perfect when I am there visiting my boys. They enjoy the hotel and so did I.
“Avoid Halloween”
We stayed over Halloween night and there was a huge party of very drunk young people in the ballroom. We got little sleep that night from the noise. The room and hotel was very nice.
“Loved the location of Hyatt Regency in Greenville, SC”
Excellent location, service, good food and drinks. My only complaint is that the room / room(s)? are visible to the main lobby of the hotel. It was not comfortable to open the curtains just to see other people who might possibly be looking in. Our room was right above a restaurant. I felt that I was intruding on or spying on other people while they were eating.
“Beautiful hotel but restaurant needs better management.”
We spent 3 days at the Hyatt for a wedding. There were over 50 of us in the hotel and the hotel overall was very accomodating to our needs. The rooms were clean and the lobby was very nice to lounge in. The bar was was modern and had nice places to enjoy drinks and snacks. The two annoying things about the hotel were the fact that you had to put in your hotel key to use the elevator as if there were a lot of non-guests sneaking up into the rooms. (I don't think there were as the hotel was pretty much dead and the neighborhood was really nice.) The other issue we had was with the restaurnant manager who was overly protective of where we sat. He was a little bossy and when we sat in a group of 6 for a buffet breakfast, we were charged an automatic gratuity. It would have been one thing if we actually received any service but we were basically forced to sit in larger groups because because there weren't enough smaller tables and it was a buffet (self-service) brunch. We usually leave a 20% tip anyway, but this really put a bad taste in our mouths. The brunch was plenitful but there is a good selection of places to eat within walking distance, so I would check out the town. Overall, our hotel stay was very nice and I would go back.
“Good Greenville option”
Nice lobby. Conveniently located. Clean rooms.
“Very impressed by staff members, would definitely go back!”
Upon arrival the staff was very pleasant, and took care of all my needs. Hotel is very clean, enjoyed the atrium and waterfalls.
“Great Hotel”
Great place nice, clean, great service!
“Great breakfast buffet!”
My husband and I just returned from our third stay at the Hyatt Regency in Greenville, SC. We plan to return to this hotel which is located in the heart of downtown Greenville. The waterfalls and beautiful plantings in the hotel atrium give you the impression of being far away from the city and yet it's only a short walk to great shops, restaurants and the waterfall and gardens at Falls Park. The breakfast buffet is both sumptuous and delicious! Staff are pleasant and helpful. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.
“Stay downtown Greenville”
My son visited Wofford on Saturday in Spartanburg and had soccer games on Sunday in Greenville. . . When I found out the Fall for Greenville Festival was that weekend we decided to stay in a downtown hotel. I got the best rate at the Hyatt. The location was perfect . . . just one block from the festival . Greenville downtown is extremely nice. . . We will probably stay here again as we visit more colleges in the area!
