A great place to get away from it all

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: You can tell that staff and owners really care about Cabier and their guests. All the rooms have ocean views and big balconies.
Location: Cabier has a great location with a secluded beach next door. But most of the island is within easy reach by the local busses.
We had a lovely stay at Cabier Ocean Lodge. It is quiet and secluded, the staff is friendly and helpful and the food is fantastic.

Great getaway Hotel

Posted Apr 8, 2013
Pros: Small with great staff
Cons: The road down to beach from the main route-really need a four track vehicle
Location: perfect
Whilst the hotel could be termed a little "rustic" the rooms were large, clean with a lovely balcony over looking the beach/bay.The location is isolated but quite idyllic. The staff were very friendly and owner /chef(French) conjured up some innovative dishes.

Caribbean before it was developed.

Posted Jan 1, 2013
Pros: Seclusion. Unspoilt. Friendly.
Cons: Rocky road down.
Location: Well off the beaten track.
An absolutely idyllic gem well off the beaten track and untouched by tourism. A simple guest house made extra special by lovely staff and a great restaurant. (To be fair, the people of Grenada are ALL wonderfully friendly). The beach under the hotel was so secluded, we hardly saw another soul. Where else in the Caribbean could you spend the day helping local fishermen sort their nets and catch on a stretch of 200m of empty sand? The vertiginous and rocky drive from the main road down to Cabier lodge is completely worthwhile. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for seclusion, beauty and an experience a million mikes away from the identikit 'all inclusive' hotels with grim buffet food and tasteless beer.

Tranquil location, great food, excellent service

Posted Feb 25, 2012
Pros: Views, beach, infinity pool, food and freindly service.
Cons: Leaving!
Location: Tranquil, beautiful and quiet
We arrived at Cabier late and hungry and hoped that we might be able to order a sandwich to tide us over until morning, so were delighted to find that there was a three course meal waiting for us! Which, incidentally, was delicious and gave us our first taste of caribbean food and Bruno's excellent cooking and Iris' hospitality. Bruno and Iris were so helpful and were always pleased share their local knowledge, as were the staff. Hide away is the perfect description for Cabier Ocean Lodge as you feel so far away from the rest of the world, and can enjoy the peace and quiet of the unspoilt Caribbean. Often, we were the only people on the beach. We were also lucky enough to stay in the 'Beach Star Apartments', which were ideal, with beautiful views of one of the bays. And also, the Two Bay Studios, which also boast stunning views and an infinity pool!

The road into this place has been washed out. The taxi had to crawl along. It took forever and was very uncomfortable.
