It was really cool to stay in such an old and historic hotel! Our family suite was very spacious, and the beds were SUPER comfortable. The owners were fantastic. Towels had been forgotten in our room, but they were great about getting them to us right away. It was quiet, and we slept very well. The room had a homey touch and lots of amenities you don't usually find in a hotel. The continental breakfast included delicious banana bread and fresh cut watermelon.
Because it's an old hotel, the floor creaks very loudly with each step, the doors are loud, and the hallway light is turned off from inside the bedroom (we went to bed before the kids, and they didn't want to disturb us, so they slept with the hallway light on). The shower head is very low, and when any water is run elsewhere, the shower is very hot or very cold. There were lots of stairs to get to the room. The owner joked that the stairs were the exercise room. ;)
The things we didn't love can be chalked up to it being an old hotel, and they were minimal. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much!
