Beach Front ResortPosted Jan 11, 2015
Pros: The restaurant, the closeness of the beach and the local cafe
Cons: Get rid of the sand flies, next time the appropriate cream will be taken
Location: The beach is just outside your room The pancake rocks and blow holes were a great trip The local cafe and street traders The seal colony
We arrived here after a long trip from Kaikoura to be met by very pleasant reception staff and a really nice room The location of the beach and the rainforest back drop made this a really fantastic location to spend a couple of days The walks around and over the pancake rocks and the trips around the blow holes were also great The short ride to the Seal colony was another worth while visit The noise from the frogs in the pond outside the room makes it feel that you are actually in a rainforest

Stunning location and views, we were very lucky to have a superb weekend weather wise, hence amazing sun and moon sets. Had an room in the top lodge which was beautiful, lovely big room, comfy bed, all amenities very good. Lovely surroundings, very peaceful at night.

Second stay herePosted Aug 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is our second stay in an Eco suite. The room is warm, comfortable and the view is great. We had a room service meal and the food was very good. We love the location here.

Amazing LocationPosted Jun 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
Great service even though it was out of season when we were there. Had a beach view room that was really big. Booked it within realizing how far north it was-but it was definitely worth the drive! Amazing location right on a little beach with rain forests and mountains to the back. The drive up there from Greymouth was beautiful. Would return to New Zealand to go and spend longer there!

Very nice property along the rugged coast. Not a lot to do or see beside pancake rocks. We stayed in a Eco room. Very well appointed room. I'd stay again.
