We stayed 4 nights at this beautiful hotel. We were met in the car park by the manager who carried our luggage inside after greeting us by name. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Unfortunately the weather was rainy, cloudy and at high level even snowing so views of the Eiger which overlooks the hotel were scarce. The hotel is on the main road through Grindlewald and so close to cafes, shops and a self service launderette which was helpful as we were touring around Switzerland and hotel charges for laundry are very high. It is also 5 minutes walk from the cable cars and we were able to take advantage of the hotel card which gives free bus travel around the village and a reduction on the cable car. So although we had free parking, sometimes it wasn't needed as we could just stroll into the village. The evening meal was a set choice of several courses, but there was always a choice for those who don't eat meat or dislike some particular item. The value of this set meal was exceptional in Switzerland and the food was delicious. I have to mention the waiters-who were all cheerful, competent and so helpful with suggestions of places to visit in the locality. Quite a few guests were alone and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who has ever sat alone in a restaurant. This hotel is welcoming to all.

This hotel is Swiss utopia!! We had a fantastic room with a large balcony right below the north face of the eiger. Sumptious but contemporary with a great shower. The breakfast was excellent, overflowing with cereals, fresh fruit bread, cheese, cold meat and freshly cooked eggs, bacon and sausages. The views from every aspect of the hotel were spectacular- from our room, the restaurant, the terrace and the outdoor jacuzzi. The wellness area was the perfect way to recover from the long walks in the area. 2 steam rooms, a sauna, the rest area with waterbeds but the outdoor jacuzzi was the best tonic...you will stay til your fingers wrinkle!!! I couldn't rate the hotel highly enough, everyone was o friendly and helpful. The hotel also provides tempting cakes and tea in the afternoon, free bikes and a complementary bus pass to get into the village and back. The only downside is that the last bus home is 6.45pm and its a 45minute walk if you miss it. It was my husband's birthday whilst there and he was surprised with a fab chocolate cake on the morning of his birthday. The small touches so well thought out made this hotel a wonderful stay and memorable stay. Look out for Minouche, the hotel cat.

A lovely traditional building slightly out of town so it's wonderfully quiet. Very helpful multi-lingual owners/staff who go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay. Excellent food too. And the views are amazing - eating breakfast looking out at the north face of the Eiger was definitely a bonus.

I have stayed here more than once, and although the hotel caters for large tour groups, they still manage to smile, be very pleasant and take good care of all, individual guests. Nothing in the hotel is 'fancy,' but everything is tidy and well cared for, and the rooms are very comfortable. The mountain-facing side has beautiful views, especially on moon-lit nights and clear days. The breakfast is good and varied, and the bars and restaurants are also very good. The service is the real winner, however--it feels almost family-run.

The welcome to Hotel Bodmi was very personal and friendly and the staff were excellent throughout. The room was spacious and clean with great views from the balcony. The spa is a great facility to have there as well. Recommended!
