Great hotel. Service and food were really good. Outside of the city centre though which was the one downside. Spacious rooms that were really clean.

This is a beautiful mountain location. It was very easy to get the bus into Salzburg from the bus terminal beside the hotel. The restaurant food was excellent. The room was comfortable (loved the balcony with view of the mountains) and the staff friendly and helpful.

We chose this hotel because it is very conveniently located right outside Saltzberg with a beautiful view. The hotel is wonderful, has a very nice restaurant, and helpful friendly staff. It also has free parking and a very convenient drive to Hallstatt (~72km) or Berchtesgaden (18 km). The hotel is also the end of the line bus stop (5 or 25) for quick low-cost access to downtown Saltzberg. We would highly recommend.

Came for one night, clean, welcoming, family run hotel. Right next to Untersberg. The room was quiet and comfortable. It had a huge balcony. Amenities were standard but nice. The included breakfast in their restaurant was plentiful with a great variety of food. Will absolutely make this place our destination when we visit Salzburg as it’s only about 5 miles out of the city.

Please don’t stay at this hotel. While this seemed like a nice hotel. We had a horrible experience and they would not compensate us for it. It’s an older hotel with no accessibility. My father fell down the entryway stairs that had no railing or warning of steps as you walk out. He had multiple broken bones and stitches, and they refused to compensate us. Do not consider staying at this hotel.

Dear Matthew!We are sorry, that your father fell on the stairs! But this was not our fault! The stairs are correct and the two steps are also lighted! In austria the hotels get very often controlled and the stairs comply with all regulations! You came to the reception and you wanted the stay for free! We cannot give you a compensate if we did nothing wrong!

This is such a pristine and awesome property and location. Located about 25 minutes from Salzburg Main station, the buses #5 and #25 go directly to this hotel. Right in front of the hotel. The property is located at the foothills of the Mountains and very scenic beauty around it. If yu want to stay a bit away from the city, enjoy the nature and mountains yet close access to city, this is 110 percent the place to sttay !!

It was a lovely couple of days for us. The hotel was clean and nice with good breakfast and I will recommend it. We were welcomed warmly after a long drive and the receptionist was so nice and helpful in assisting us in settling in and when we had to extend our stay, it was done with ease.

It is a nice hotel near Salzburg. Friendly staff. Clean room. Good breakfast. It is hard to consider this hotel as a 4 stars level due to lack of basic services such as coffee machine and other amandmenties.

Great family-run hotel in super location
Fantastic quiet location next to gondola and bus stop (for easy hassle-free transport into town). Family-run establishment, with hardworking folks doing multiple tasks was evident, was extremely refreshing and made the experience for our family authentic and fun. Hope it stays that way, as I’d love to come back. Also, the breakfast was outstanding every day.

Relaxing hotel in a quiet town outside of Salzburg. Great spa, two large and a steam room. Good restaurant with excellent Bavarian cuisine, we ate dinner and breakfast. Parking at the hotel. Right next to the Untersberg cable car.

Perfect Austrian retreat
Just came home from a 3 night stay here. Hotel exceeded our expectations, rooms are alot bigger than they look online and we had a huge balcony overlooking the mountains. Hotel is ideally placed for both Salzburg and trips across the border to attractions nearby in Germany. The village had a festival during our stay which was fantastic. Breakfast was a huge range of cooked and continental choices. Staff were super friendly, helped us with local queries, and gave us sweets on check in and local chocolate on check out. Couldn't have asked for more from this stay. Thank you Hotel Untersberg.
