I've lived in Mexico 13 years. For the price it is a GREAT deal. My room was small with a king bed but the location is great. I would make this my first choice for a discount hotel anytime I go to Guadalajara. The staff jumped at every one of my requests, polite, friendly, clean. Walk out the door to the corner and have great coffee. 10 Blocks from San Juan de Dios the largest market in Mexico. I can't say enough and I travel often.

I did like the property location, very close to a downtown very important and beautiful places. I didn’t like that the bell man didn’t show or or explain to me all the amenities of the room, the restroom was very uncomfortable, the shower didn’t work properly, it was no hot water , window facing to a street was broken, it was a strong noice around 2 to 3 early morning, the tv was not working, very poor service.

This hotel Castilla y Leon advertised and used the building across the street... the actual building is much old and dirty... no elevator. The younger lady front desk clerk during afternoon was rude and lazy with attitude Sink broken , drapes curtain dirty. Beds were lumpy and worn-out. TV were not working. They hide the remote for AC and made me do multiple trips down to the front desk then no remote avail at all.. this hotel is like old care home facility. I was pissed and upset ... DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. The price you pay is not worth it.

The front desk has been nice and helpful on what to do in the city. Hotel was very clean as well as the room. Though we didn't spend too much time in the hotel, other than sleeping but it left a good impression on us! Our sheets, towels and surfaces of desk, counter and bathroom were all regularly cleaned during our stay and the best thing is very close to dowtonw.

Worst service
Terrible experience, people at the front desk are rude, the first room I had, the AC and fan were broken. Later the only person that was kind, gave me a new room that was miles better. For saving a penny, don't make the same mistake that I did and stay in a better hotel. It was clean thou.

Everything was great the only thing that could be improved is the foul smell at the entrance. It smelled like urine! That's just bad presentation.

only if you are in a budget
the only good thing about this hotel is that is in the center of downtown alot of stores next to it but the bed is to small not so clean and loud

The hotel itself is kinda cute for the price n right in the middle of everything, except for the showers not clean n curtain old, it's impossible to drive down there safely, the streets are so narrow. DO NOT DRIVE down there , take a cab pls, this is the perfect hotel if u have a budget n if u are not driving.

Unpleasant stay
This hotel was very cheap and the location is great since it's only a few blocks away from "Plaza fundadores" where you can take the tapatio tour but the experience was really unpleasant the rooms are so uncomfortable, the sheets and the pillows in the bed were so dirty and It was so disgusting, the water in the shower was too hot that i couldn't shower since i was burning. If you stay there and you don't mind about the conditions it's ok since it have others advantages.

It was horrible, bad service, room, sheets, and pillows dirty, room smelled bad, they have a mini split in the unit but we couldn't use it cause it started leaking... It's super cheap but you can find something better for that price.

The hotel does need a few renovations especially in the restroom, but if you just need a place to sleep and shower its decent. Its close to a lot of places, although access by car is difficult due to the construction being done on the road. Overall not too bad.

Yes it's was very covenant in the center of town. But the rate says it all! The bath room was soooo small that using it made it very awkward. The wifi only worked in the main lobby! If some was using the bathroom you could not use the sink because you would get hit by the room when they opened the door.

I do notrecommend this hotel to anybody. The only good thing about it is it's proximity to downtown. 1. There was bed bugs in the room. When I informed the front desk they insinuated that it was my fault. 2. The bed is definitely not a pillow top as stated in their ad. 3. It does not have a balcony as stated in their ad. 4. It does not have wifi in the rooms, as stated in ad. It only has wifi in common areas. This hotel deserves a -5 rating. After the bed bugs incident, I requested a refund to relocate and they denied it, the wanted to fumigate my laundry and not the room. I would second think reserving thru this site again.

The Hotel "Arround the Corner"
This hotel was in general an adequate hotel just "arround the corner" from the Centro of Guadalajara... parking in their parking lot is a bad idea for anything bigger than a crossover... no microwaves or fridges available... clean room and friendly staff...

This is by far a 1/2 star hotel. The location is OK and the staff is very kind and helpfull, but the hotel is old, uncomfortable and not well mantained. I do not recommed this hotel, even if the price is very low for the city.
