“An Excellent Hotel!”

This hotel was excellent! It's centrally located and the service was very friendly. I'm not sure if they speak English; however, I'd strongly recommend this hotel to any Spanish speakers.

“Great location, poor services”

I did not have high expectations for this hotel, but I was looking for something at a reasonable price and good location. This is by no means a 4-star hotel, but for the price you're paying it's good value. The best aspects of this hotel are the central location, nearby grocery store, and amazing rooftop terrace (which no one will mention it, but just walk up the stairs to the 9th floor, and there is a door to the roof which offers 360 panoramic views of the city. Great place to have a beer at night, or just look around and take photographs. I don't think anyone knew we went up there, or if they cared, but we kept it on the DL and never had an issue. What irked me the most was the lack of internet. Nothing in the rooms, and very shoddy internet in the lobby. Second to that was lack of any service. The maids barely did anything in the rooms but take out the trash and make the beds, I noticed the floors became pretty dirty for example. The desk clerks were not particularly communicative or helpful. The breakfast buffet looked about 20 years old. I would stay there again because of the positives, but I could see how this hotel would disappoint some people. It's a shame because with a few minor tweaks, this place would be amazing.

“Great Location”

The remodeled rooms are exactly like the pictures. Very new, clean, and comfortable. There are no weird smell or stains. Well worth the price. Few things to note: There is no outlet in the bathroom. Had to blow dry my hair in the room with no mirror nearby. Rooms do not come with blow dryer or iron. Front desk doesn't have an iron either. Distance: Hotel is in perfect location. The Catedral is only 4 blocks away. Mercado Libertad only about 10 blocks (short blocks). Eveything is in walking distance. Other than them charging us extra for the remodeled room, I would definately stay there again. If reserving online, make sure you ask for a higher floor so that you don't get the old 1st floor rooms.

“cheap and good location”

The hotel is conveniently located in downtown GDL, making easy for transportation and walking to the historic district. The first room (608) we had, (king size and we were 3) was horrible, the bathroom smelled, as did the shower. The good thing was that front desk had scheduled a room change for the following day to a double bed room which was much nicer. We tried the hotel's breakfast buffet for $5 USD, the buffet was a joke. The menu advertised in the elevator is not what they put out, definitely not worth it. Other then these minor issues the hotel is good, the beds are comfy and housekeeping is friendly.
