Good for the PricePosted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff... cleanness, food, everybody at the hotel was always wiling to help out...
Cons: Cleanness of the bathroom...
Location: I am not really sure about the location.... was a little bit to far from the main attractions.... Cathedral, zoo, etc.....
Very Friendly staff... clean facility....The only thing I was not sure was about the sanitation of the bathroom, but other than that everything was perfect... I recommend their buffet, good variety, and everything prepared with care... Not expensive at all...

Hotel MalibuPosted Apr 25, 2014
Pros: Comfortable bed - quiet location. Lots of hot water. Cleanliness, good food.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Location: Not downtown, but easily accessable by cab for less than 100 Mx peso. ($10US) Nice Mall next door. Tour buses pick up at entrance to Hotel.
Very nice Hotel located next to Fashion Mall, lots of shops and restuarants. Clean comfortable room. Nice swimming pool with bar. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant.

My third choice among three but still decent.Posted Nov 3, 2012
Pros: Modern large mall next door. Relatively quiet except for maid carts in the morning.
Cons: Might have had some money taken. Slow internet.
Location: Decent for convention hall access but not great for tourism.
This hotel was a reasonable choice except the internet connection was quite slow. The rooms were a decent size, clean, and had flat screen TVs. The beds were comfortable enough and the noise levels were acceptable. I only ate one meal in the hotel restaurant and it was decent and the price reasonable. Next door there is a large modern shopping mall with several other restaurants. If you are a tourist, you are better off a few miles to the east near the historic downtown, i.e at Hotel Morales. Other than the mall next door, it did not seem there was much to do in this area. The staff and maids were friendly and helpful, although I do suspect that someone took some money from my suitcase my first night there when I went to dinner. Most of the hotel is more like a motel in that 3/4 of the rooms are in two story buildings with parking outside. However, there is one building that is probably about 10 stories tall. All in all, the Malibu hotel was clean, friendly and comfortable and priced about right. Each of the three hotels I stayed at had their own plusses and minus's. Victoria express was the best for business and the most like a typical American business hotel but had the worst service and the restaurant was overpriced. The location was not great either. Hotel Morales was the noisiest and the bathroom smelled but had a good restaruant and the best location. Morales also had huge rooms and a friendly and helpful staff.
