Great locationPosted Apr 1, 2014
A little rough around the edges, but the hotel is a great price in a great location. I would definitely recommend it.

This place is alrightPosted Mar 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
The staff is great, especially Carolina (the main front desk person). She was able to find me a quiet room since I had been awake traveling for the past 12 hours. The rooms are quite clean.

Just a pretty standard nice clean hotel. Very safe the hotel staff buzzes you in, but perfect location, all of the sites in the center were within walking distance.

DisappointedPosted Jan 8, 2014
Pros: Over all the lobby looked inviting. Balcony windows
Cons: Having a portable heater for people like me who are always cold; controling the mold buildup. As far as the bathroom, not much you can do the there.
Location: Location was convinient for shopping; downtown Guadaljara. Many places to see, such as the cathedral; the theater; San Juan de Dios (mercado).
First of all there is no elevator, carried suitcases two flights of stairs. It was too cold for me, no heating or portable heaters available. Because it is an old historic building, rooms have high ceilings, there was alot of mold buildup from the shower. The bathroom/shower is too compact and the showerhead pointed towards the door which cause the water to come through the bottom into the room. Toilet got wet after using the shower.

Historic is better and cheaperPosted Sep 26, 2013
Location: History is right there.
It was a fine stay. Interestingly, there is no real difference in this hotel and others which cost much more. I actually like being in the old, historic buildings right in the city center.

Would ReturnPosted Mar 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great price. Nice Old hotel. Very basics in room (2 towels, no facecloths, small soap & shampoo). Right downtown, great place to walk and see lots. A little noisy as we were right close to street and traffic goes all night. Would return.

my second trip to this hotel. 2 blocks from center of historical district. 2 great restaurants less than a block away . free cable tv and wireless internet. 150 year old historic building. balcony. very hot water for shower. nothing too fancty , but everything i needed . owned buy a nice family that is almost always there, making a very safe hotel. couldnt recommend it higher. and for a very affordable rate. will be back .

no elevator but hotel is 160 years old, and only one flight of stairs to climb. tile floors, could have been mopped, but was swept every day. very good beds. flat screen tv with cable. free coffee in morning. very good shower and bathroom. plenty hot water. staff very friendly and honest. will stay again. the hotel is a very good bargain. no room service or food, but la gorda is next door and la chata is half block away. plaza de armas is 3 blocks away. very convienent.
