Absolutely the most breathtaking hotelPosted Sep 26, 2013
Pros: The style of the facility. Walking around and taking pictures of everything because I could not believe my eyes.
Cons: A hotel like this should accept Discover card. But other than that? Nothing, maybe bigger desserts
Location: You just jump in a cab and cab be downtown Guadalajara in little time. And there are restaurants and bars everywhere.
I have never seen a hotel compared to this one. There is nothing else to really say other than it's incredible. Nothing compares.

RidiculousnessPosted Jun 15, 2013
Pros: Historic architecture
Location: Location is busy, lots of traffic
This hotel is very historic And appealing to the eye, staff was exceptional and it is in a good area. That is about all I have to say that is good about this hotel. My bed was hard and uncomfortable, they give you 5 tiny soft pillows that can't even support your neck. Alcohol and munchies in the room are ridiculously over priced. As for the restaurant, mediocre food for again a ridiculous price! A bit of fruit, coffee and tea cost me 300 pesos ( $27cad ) then I looked at the menu and left. This place is definitely not worth 500$ a night. Worst thing the didn't even ask me how my stay was

No Lobby Bar or main restaurant is availablePosted Apr 23, 2013
Pros: The room was very nice
Cons: No lobby bar and no restaurant, just an improvised covered terrace that functions as a restaurant
Location: Very good location
When we arrived looking forward to a drink and a nice meal we found out that the hotel lobby bar and restaurant has been closed for over six months as these two areas are being remodeled. It was very disappointing not being able to sit in a nice area and enjoy a drink. We had our meals in the terrace area which has been improvised as the main dining area, obviously this place does not offer the same ambiance as a formal restaurant. We were very disappointed to know that there is no opening date established, no one at the hotel was able to offer an opening date for these areas.

stayed with friends who were attending same eventPosted Apr 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were absolutely delighted with the decor, the room, the furnishings, the bathroom,( large and very well appointed), the warmth and eagerness to please of the entire staff. I would recommend it and would stay there again.the only disappointment was the size of the pool..I was looking forward to swimming and it was nice for kidsl...but the food and margaritas made up for it. . The location was great, we were near our wedding friends and there were nice restaurants nearby.

The decor, charm and attention to detail are reasons that make us come back to the Quinta Real in Guadalajara.

Guadalajara for a day and a halfPosted Nov 8, 2012 on Hotels.com
The stay was great. Hotel was great, staff was very attentive and helpful. The hotel bathrooms need some upgrades. It looks like the lobby, bar, and restaurant are getting upgrades. Not in the middle of town, but a short taxi ride away. I would definitely stay here again.
