“Nice and convenient”

This is a nice hotel, conveniently located near the center of Pointe-a-Pitre, and reasonably priced (most hotels are outrageously expensive in the area). The staff is very friendly and eager to help, at least as experienced from the perspective of someone who speaks French fluently. Some of the people at the reception do not speak much English. The rooms are comfortable and clean.

“24 hours to relax in Guadalupe”

If I was to return to Guadalupe I would return to this Hotel since the area and locality is how I like it, and also the price.

“Comfortable and affordable”

As per other reviews, this hotel is solid without being extraordinary. It was comfortable and clean and relatively inexpensive. There is not much around on a Sunday. The two reception staff I met tried hard to help me as I speak little French, although one tried to explain herself by speaking slightly slower in French.

“No Frills, clean bed”

Hotel is located in central place- but not many restaurants to choose from for dinner. If you have a car, as we did, it is a clean, no frills place with great breakfast to sleep!

“Could do Better!”

Some of the receptionists were almost aggressive. Breakfast staff were sullen.

“Mixed feelings about Perse”

Perse is located just few blocks from the main shopping streets of Pointe a Pitre but the shops are mainly open from 10am to 6pm during working days, don't schedule your arrival to city on Sunday like we did, it's completely dead, only irritating beggars wandering around. The evenings are the same, very bad traffic jams appear when people are leaving this "business capital" empty, which makes it easy to came back to hotel after day spent elsewhere on the island but on the other hand the isn't much activities during the evenings. Hotel itself is quite good for budget traveler, don't expect any luxury but basic needs are quite well fulfilled and breakfast is much better than in the other hotels in the area.

“OK for a brief stay”

Guadeloupe is a great place to visit, but its capital Pointe a Pitre is not a place to linger - which may be why this seems to be the only hotel there. The location is good, by the sea front (docks!), but rooms are small (showers too small); a reasonable buffet breakfast is included.

night clerk not English speaking-fluent, (when taxi did not appear on time), TAXI DRIVER (HAD BEEN DRINKING/WAS ASLEEP IN TAXI IN HOTEL LOT; hotel room was clean and comfortable; elevator kept going up/down, (4 times before opening door on 3rd floor-! so we carried our luggage down 3 floors!) no (requested) "wake-up call"; security was ok. (locked lobby) no restaurants or stores open after 4:30 pm or early am.

“Convenient location”

Good location close to town and amenities, also convenient for ferry. Linen and towels were threadbare but staff very helpful. Not exactly value for money, but it was ok.

“Not bad, just sad.”

I almost gave it a 2 but as I did my best to communicate with the staff in French I felt that I received better service as a result. This is not a bad hotel, just a sad hotel, it is in dire need of refurbishment or failing that a thoroughly deep clean, everywhere. A slightly sour musky smell pervades the corridors There was damp mould in the pointing between the shower tiles and mould on the wall and ceiling above the shower. This could simply be fixed with an occasional wipe over with domestic bleach, surely that's not too difficult? The room lighting was dismally dim. I have said I would not recommend it but if your stay is for one or two nights if you neeed to be in Pointe-a-Pitre then it is just acceptable.
