Nice location, close to ocean

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Cons: The hotel is more "rustic" than I a used to or care for
Nice location near ocean, but most rooms do not have an ocean view. Nice fire pit. Walk to store and restaurants.

Great location, but a bit rundown.

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: Dogs okay.
Cons: Maintenance
Location: Right on the coast. Stores and few eateries nearby.
They allowed our dog, without any fuss. The beds were clean, but the window blinds had mold, and the floor needed repair (which they covered with a rug!). The kitchenette was pretty rudimentary.

Fabulous ocean views...

Great staff. Clean and comfortable room with fridge and microwave. Loved the wood floors and fireplace-heater. Wonderful breakfast with homemade muffins, real scrambled eggs, and sausage gravy. Fabulous views of the surf. Quaint little town off of Hwy 1.

Close to the beach, needs repairs

Posted Nov 29, 2014
Pros: Great ocean view from the parking lot.
Cons: PUT SMOKE DETECTOR BACK IN ROOM.
The room need paint touch-ups, a smoke-detector, light bulbs replaced in the bathroom (and vent repaired), as well as wall repairs around the exterior of the shower. The breakfast is so-so, mostly a lot of carbs and no fruit options besides flavored yogurt.

Mendocino coastal getaway.

Right on the coast on Highway 1, this hotel has a few extras like a fireplace heater! Close to everything in the small town of Gualala.

Decent Motel, Affordable on weekdays

Posted Aug 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
Friendly staff, good location right on Highway 1 within walking distance of a good restaurant and a grocery store. The motel serves decent breakfast. Road noise wasn't bad, but the walls to the other rooms were a bit thin. The bathroom was dated. Good value during off-season weekdays.
