“Good Hotel, Good Location”

The hotel has a good location ... probably the best on Guam (Tumon) and is close to most things you will need. The hotel is clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Internet access isn't the best .... not always always available ... but I think it is a Guam problem, not a hotel problem. I stayed at another hotel while in Guam and had the same problem. Overall it is a good place to stay, and I would stay there again.

“Cheap but nice. Guam is awesome!”

The hotel was cheap and on the beach. The room was clean, air conditioner worked great, view of the beach was great. We sat on the patio every morning to enjoy the view, and the sunset from the room was lovely at night. There is a rowing club that practices at the beach/park next door in the evening, it was interesting to watch. Don't eat breakfast at the restaurant, it was expensive for what was served. We only ate one meal there so I can't say how the rest of the meals were. Don't stay at the hotel, go out and enjoy the island, there is so much snorkeling/scuba and history that you won't spend much time at the hotel anyway!

“A Good Deal”

The entire place was extremely nice and I was very happy with my stay. The service desk was very kind and timely. It is in a good location and my room had a good view. The restaurants and spa in the hotel were lovely. I only had a few minor issues, such as the internet in the rooms isn’t free, the emergency flashlight was broken, you could tell the place was old, and there wasn’t an iron in the room. Other than that, I recommend this hotel.

“Pleasantly Suprised!”

I was pleasantly surprised when we got to our hotel, based on the reviews that we had read on here. The rooms were great, with nice four-post beds. The TV was a bit small, but that was fine. It had a huge deck that looked out onto the ocean, which was really nice. The hotel wasn't exactly on the beach, it was kind-of on it, but you had to walk about 1 minute to get to the beach. It was well worth the money and it was in the center of all the more expensive hotels. The fees for internet were really high ($5 for 15 minutes, and really expensive phone calls), but other than that it was great. There was a weird smell in the lobby (like others had mentioned) but our room was great, with a huge bathroom and an overall large room and no funny smells. We loved it overall, and we will definitely stay there if we go back again. It was the best value for your money compared with all the other hotels, and it is right in the middle of them!! We loved it!

“Stay here!”

I was really nervous after reading a lot of the reviews of this, and other, hotels in the area but we got a clean and amazing service while staying here. There was no need to leave tips like people said and it was in a prime spot in town. Definetly will stay here again!!!

“Holiday Resort Guam”

Holiday Resort Guam is located in a great location, close to several restaurants and most importantly, a stone's throw away from the beach. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms were spacious and clean. The 'Partial Ocean' view room still had a beautiful view.

“Holiday Resort, Guam - ok, decent, has a buffet”

This hotel is ok. It is full of many people from Korea and Japan on holiday, and the buffet food caters to them but there is usually enough variety for a westerner to enjoy also...I say 'usually'. The room was ok, good views...as to service they seem to cut corners a little, as, there were some spots on the bathroom wall which never got cleaned, but otherwise ok... obviously the hotel economizes on its toiletries but my only real complaint is the tea and coffee facility in the room was not adequate by my standard, eg., only green tea bags and sugar, I don't recall if there was instant coffee but they really could have done better in this department. It is close to the beach. One other thing: you cannot use the stairs to exit, which personally I prefer to take the stairs whenever possible (well, you can but it takes you to the back of the building and then you can't get back in that way; also, if you want to take the stairs from the lobby to your floor you likely can't get into your floor from the stairwell unless someone has propped open the door. That's all, really. You could do worse and it wasn't bad, the hotel shop was pretty good with the variety of items available, except they didn't take credit cards or charge to the room.

“Good & Bad”

Good: At the best beach for swimming on the island. Friendly staff. Excellent view from upper room balcony. Good access to A/P, major services and stores. Great variety of hotel buffet foods at a reasonable price. English and Japanese spoken. Close to large K-Mart and A/P. Complimentary slippers. Bad: Limited parking in outside lots, 1/2 in water in rainy season. Limited guest parking in basement for valet parked cars only (?). Broken phone. Room cups & glasses only rinsed and dried by maid each day, not replaced with sterilized ones.
