Old hotel in need of updatingPosted May 21, 2014
Pros: The staff was friendly and the California Pizza Kitchen is downstairs.
Cons: Renovate the rooms!!
The pictures are not at all representative of the rooms. They must have been taken 20 years ago when the rooms were nearly renovated. The tub was stained as was the carpet. The beds were hard and the TV is last generation. This was a 3 star at best. I am not sure who gives this an excellent rating but they must not travel much. These rooms are in desperate need of a renovation and the pool is incredibly small for a building this size. The hotel is not on the beach. You have to go through the park to get to the beach.

Affordable VacationPosted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: Closeness to the beach, literally walking distance (i.e., less than 100 yards). Location on strip, walking distance from the nightlife and airport.
Cons: Condition of the hotel, the pool, the exterior.
Location: Five minutes from the Airport. Close to the K-Mart. Close to all the shopping. The Beach!
The image of the hotel is a bit deceptive, the actual hotel distance from the beach. There is a "zoo" and a building between the hotel and the beach, nothing too serious as it was still on the same property, but a bit of a let-down. The carpeting throughout the various floors should be replaced by tile or washed. The pool area should be upgraded. The rooms were great, but WiFi service could be greatly improved. Although the bulk of their tourists are Japanese or Korean, there should still be English language pamphlets for their tours. The breakfast buffet was a bit too costly for the value and variety presented. The room was clean, but the bathroom needed work. Although the Service Please sign was put on the door, often we had to call the front desk and have them send the maid service to our room to get it cleaned up. The in-house shoppette did not accept credit card (cash only), and the prices are ridiculous.

Good if you're looking for cheap, but that's it!Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: View was great
Cons: Wifi Speed, Breakfast Quality, Staff professionalism
Location: Beach is literally right there
Someone needs to train this hotel on how to manage a property. I knew going in that it wasn't a five star resort, but common, that doesn't excuse absurd policies and services. Day 1 we went to California Pizza Kitchen (gagg, but it's all that was open and close on late arrival). Upon check-in, they gave a paper that listed all of the discounts as a hotel guest. One was free dessert with two entree purchase, it said just show key card (which the hotel's key card has the California Pizza Kitchen logo on it!), and they refused to honor it without the "coupon" which we were never given. Absurd. The wifi in the hotel was atrocious. It worked sometimes, other times it didn't. Loading a simple webpage would take 10-20 minutes. The rooms were basic, but functional for a 2-3 star property. The one thing I can't figure out is why in an ocean-facing room do they not have chairs on the balcony? Never in my life have I stayed in an oceanfront resort where they just have an empty balcony. There were various other issues not worth mentioning, but the bottom line is next time I'll likely stay at a nicer property. This place is good for a day or two, but to me at least, the savings didn't justify the sacrifice. The only redemption was looking out the window and seeing the gorgeous bay and beach below.

Good value, decent roomPosted Apr 5, 2014
Pros: Room rate, location are great.
Cons: Needs new window drapes and bed covers.
Location: Nice restaurants in the building, nice beach, and good location in Tumon.
Hotel isn't one of the newer ones on Guam but is good value given lower room rate. Lobby is nice, room is fine. Window drapes are old, bed cover is cheap blanket type material. TV is old model, about 22 inches and not flat screen. My first time staying at the hotel but given good rate I'm definitely coming back.

Nice staff, old roomPosted Jan 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed in a partial ocean view room which was really really old. The bathtub was dirty with stain spots. Free wifi didn't work well in the room. There were "pink" spots on my sheet, which should have been totally "white." The staff was nice; however, since we just stayed there for 11 hours, we didn't bother to change rooms. We stayed on Saturday night; we just didn't think it worth the money.
